When I took off my clothes, my bones were so visible.

Stanley watched helplessly as I grew weaker each day, and he could just sigh in
frustration at home.
He could do nothing.
One day, Stanley rushed home with my favorite food.

Countless frightening thoughts filled his mind.
He trembled as he pulled out his phone, preparing to call the police.

“Stanley, you’re finally back.”
His hand, which had been raised, froze in mid–air as he stared at me blankly.
The girl from his memories, singing on stage, seemed to merge with the woman in
front of him.
It was the same white dress and the same beautiful face.
The difference was that despite the heavy makeup, my dark circles were still
visible.
But that was enough.
Good enough.
I lifted my skirt and skipped over to him, grabbing his hand.
“Stanley, you’ve been so exhausted during this time. Why not let me sing a song for you?”
He wanted to say yes.
But he couldn’t utter a word.
Something inside him felt blocked and uncomfortable. He reached out and held

After a long pause, he nodded.
“Okay.”
With his permission, I stood up and began gently.
“I’ll quietly stay with you. If there’s doubt, can you stay with me until the final
destination…”
Stanley managed a forced smile. It had been so many years since he heard my
singing.
Thankfully, it wasn’t too late.
In the vast room, only my voice remained.
“My quietness is without doubt, so don’t mention it. Can you take me back to the
initial memory…”
He suddenly froze, realizing too late what I was trying to say.
“Until the end, I still believe in you. I understand that all of this was only the past. My heart stays with you, closing itself…”
Stanley understood it.
After more than ten years of friendship and four years of marriage…
