And Megan was the little girl Sheena had found on the mountain.
At that time, although Megan was crying with snot and tears all over her face, her beautiful princess dress still suggested that she came from a well–off family. It was likely that she had gotten lost while playing on the mountain with her family.
Sheena was only nine years old at that time. After talking with the five or six–year- old girl for a while, she learned that her name was Megan. So, she simply took Megan’s hand and led her back to her
home.
The Brooks family had arranged a straw hut for Sheena in the countryside. She didn’t know how to use the earthen stove, so she had to move a few large stones and

So, Sheena always made sure to serve the vegetables to Megan first. After the little girt had eaten her fill, Sheena would drink the soup to barely fill her stomach. Fortunately, although Megan appeared delicate, she would eat anything when she was hungry.
Sheena took care of Megan for three days. On the fourth day, her family finally found
her.
Megan’s mother, Marissa, was extremely grateful to Sheena, and seeing that she was living alone in a straw hut in the countryside, she mistakenly thought
Sheena was an orphan. She wanted to bring her back to the city to adopt her, but Sheena refused.
She said, “My brother promised me that he would come and pick me up soon.”
Once Marissa heard that Sheena had a brother, she gave up on the idea of

adopting her. However, Megan, who had grown very fond of Sheena, insisted on staying with her.
Coincidentally, Marissa noticed a painting hanging on the wall in Sheena’s home and suggested that Megan learn to paint from her. This would satisfy Megan’s wish while also allowing Sheena to earn a little money to support herself.
Although Sheena’s clothes were neat, her sleeves were noticeably too short, and while summer was manageable, in winter, she was likely to catch a cold.
The nine–year–old Sheena didn’t think much of it. She was just happy to have a little sister to paint with and even looked forward to saving a bit of money for food, so she agreed to teach Megan.
Thus, Megan studied painting with her for five years.
It was only later, when Megan’s family moved abroad, that they lost contact.

Sheena never imagined that the little Megan she had cared for was actually Megan Wilson, the same girl Jasmin had pushed down the stairs!
When Megan saw that she had been recognized, she smiled widely. But Sheena was even more confused.
She had heard that after Megan had been pushed down the stairs, she had bled a lot, and the doctors and nurses had almost
filled the entire hall when they came to rescue her. How was it that now Megan seemed to be completely fine?
Seeing the confusion in Sheena’s eyes, Megan smiled and explained, “Actually, that incident was all part of our plan, to justify bringing you out of the Brooks family.”
It turned out that after Megan returned to the country, she immediately went back to the village to find Sheena. But by then, Sheena had already been taken back to the Brooks family.

Megan inquired several times and finally learned of Sheena‘ s situation. She was furious, itching to rescue Sheena from the “den of wolves” that was the Brooks family. But Sheena was still a Brooks, and Megan had no legitimate reason to take her away. How could she easily bring Sheena out of the Brooks family?
Furthermore, according to the information Megan gathered, Sheena still had some hope for the Brooks family, which made it even more unlikely for her to leave.
After discussing it with her family, they finally came up with a plan..
The plan was for Megan to intentionally provoke Jasmin and then pretend that Jasmin had pushed her down the stairs.
“But the stairs are so high. What if you really get hurt?” Sheena worriedly asked.
