Sheena couldn’t help but worry.
Megan smirked proudly as she quipped, “Don’t let my delicate appearance fool you. I’ve trained for this, and I took all the necessary precautions ahead of time.”
She pointed at herself and smiled. “Look at me now, not a scratch on me!”
Sheena couldn’t help but be amused by Megan’s lively attitude. But as she thought about what was to come, her expression.

It turned out that she had almost been hit by a vase just moments before.
“Are you alright?”
Wesley’s deep, soothing voice resonated in her left ear that was still capable of hearing. His warm hands had already withdrawn, but Sheena was slow to process the situation. She only noticed that the area he had just embraced felt strangely warm.
“I… I’m fine, thank you. If it weren’t for you, I might‘ ve…” She stammered.
“Protecting you is what I should do,” Wesley replied, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
For some reason, Sheena felt her ears heating up. She thought to herself that she might be coming down with a fever.
By the time Megan escorted Sheena back to her room, her ears were still bright red, which startled Megan.
“Is it too hot today? Sheena, why is your face so red?”

Sheena was embarrassed and didn’t know
what to say. Thankfully, Megan had already started pacing around the room and changed the topic.
“Looking at it now, my brother‘ s
‘straight–man‘ taste isn’t too bad.”
Only then did Sheena notice the room‘ s decor.
The background was a soft cream color, textured with rose patterns, and the curtains were a refreshing pale pink–green. The bed, shaped like a flower bud, made the entire room resemble a rose garden.
“Did Mr. Wilson design all of this?” she asked.
Megan nodded.
“Sheena, don’t be so formal. You can call him by his name, or since he’s older than you, you could call him ‘brother‘ like I do.”
Sheena hesitated, and smiled lopsidedly.

“That seems inappropriate, doesn’t it?”
“My brother is very kind. You can call him. however you like!”
Hearing Megan describe the head of the Wilson family as “kind,” Sheena felt an odd sensation but also couldn’t help but agree. After all, he had just saved her.
Remembering his handsome face so close to hers, Sheena felt her heart race again.
Perhaps it was because the past few days. had been so exhausting, or maybe it was the sense of security the room‘ s decor gave her, but Sheena quickly fell into a deep sleep.
