Megan, who was beside her, exaggeratedly gasped. “Wow, when did you bring out the family heirloom, bro? You didn’t even ask and just slipped it onto Sheena’s wrist! Your intentions are too obvious!”
Sheena looked down and realized that a crystal clear jade bracelet had been placed on her wrist. She was about to take it off
when Wesley gently stopped her.
His deep, mesmerizing eyes locked with hers, and she saw a rare flicker of tension in them. “Unless you don‘ t want it, don’t give it back to me, okay?”
Megan opened her mouth to speak again, but Wesley covered her lips with his hand.
Sheena looked at the tall, handsome man in front of her, and without thinking, she took a couple of steps forward. Standing on tiptoe, she pressed a kiss on the side of his face.

“This is my return gift.”
Immediately, she felt her face heated up as if it might explode. Before she could even process what had happened, Wesley‘ s face involuntarily broke into a smile.
Before Sheena could step back, he reached. out and pulled her into his arms.
The warm sunlight filtered through the airport‘ s glass, casting a soft glow around them. Their hearts seemed to beat in sync.
Just then, the airport announcement interrupted the moment, and Sheena reluctantly pulled away. She waved at them and turned toward the boarding gate.
As she was walking away, she couldn‘ t shake the feeling that someone’s gaze was following her.
