Noticing the unease in Kelly’s eyes, Ken gave her a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry. The Northwest is a vast area. He might not be able to find our base. Besides, even he finds in, so what? He’s already married to another woman, what qualifications does he have to hold onto you?”
“Don’t be afraid. You have me,” he assured her.
The news of Ken and Kelly’s marriage soon spread throughout the entire base. When the leaders heard about this, they were happy for them.
In such an isolated environment, where the team worked tirelessly on satellite launches. and had little connection with the outside world, finding a partner within the base and starting a family was a rare comfort.

Though Ken looked like a cold man, he was actually a warm–hearted man.
After their marriage, he doted on Kelly. He even refused to let her lift a finger to do household chores.
Even the base leaders teased him about spoiling her, but Ken simply bowed his head, smiled and replied, “It took so much effort to win her heart. So, I won‘ t let her suffer even a little.”
Before long, everyone in the base knew that Kelly was not only a capable worker
