Evalina almost gagged saying that.

Lydia’s face turned dark. Evalina was really rubbing it in. Seeing Evalina’s hand on Hugo’s neck, their eyes turned cold.
They’d seen Hugo from a distance before, but this was the first time they were this close. And seeing her all over him like that was a whole new level.
Hugo’s eyes flashed with intensity as he looked at Evalina.
Evalina felt a shiver, but since she’d already laid it all out, she wasn’t backing down. She held her chin up, not giving an inch.
Hugo’s looks got even more serious with barely contained anger as he glanced at Lydia and her crew. As he looked at them, they all felt a chill.
Hugo casually tossed a look at the manager. “You the one who told these guys to bounce Evalina?”
The manager’s hands were up in a flash. “No, no way, man. I had no idea she was with you, Mr. Hayes.”
Hugo shifted his gaze to Evalina. “You’re the one they gotta explain this to, not me.”
The manager got the hint and started apologizing to Evalina like his job depended on it. “Ms. O’Donnell, we really messed up. We’re super sorry.”
Evalina glanced at the manager, all nervous and sweaty. She gave a little smirk but kept her chin up. “Sorry ain’t gonna cut
it.”
The manager was caught off guard.
Hugo frowned, keeping his eyes on the manager.
“Today’s meal’s on us, Ms. O’Donnell,” the manager said, trying to smooth things over.
Evalina raised an eyebrow with a sneer. “Is that it?”
The manager was practically sweating bullets. “Every time you come back, your meal’s on us.”
Evalina then looked at Lydia, who looked super uncomfortable. “What about these folks who ruined our night?”
The manager slapped his thigh. “My bad, I totally spaced on that. Get these folks outta here, now.”
The bodyguards, who had been stunned by the sudden turn of events, finally sprang into action and surrounded Lydia and her crew. The women who had been trying to suck up to Lydia suddenly didn’t want anything to do with her.
“What are you doing?” one asked, all confused.
“It’s not our fault. We just came with Lydia,” another of them said trying to distance herself.
“Yeah, it was all Lydia’s idea,” another chimed in, throwing her under the bus.
“Look at you guys!” Lydia was fuming at the people who had been all over her just moments ago. But what really ticked her off was the manager’s attitude. She turned to him and yelled, “I’m a VIP customer here! How dare you!”

“Yeah, yeah,” the manager said, waving her off. “We don’t need your money. Here’s your refund. And everyone, take note. These folks are now on our blacklist. They’re not allowed back in”
Lydia was so angry she could barely see straight.
But the bodyguards didn’t give them a chance to argue, pushing them out one by one. They stumbled out of the restaurant, tripping and cursing.
“Don’t touch me!” Lydia shouted, all huffy.
“I can walk by myself!” another huffed.
Her high heels caught on the step and she took a tumble, rolling and cursing until she came to a stop. She got up and yelled back, “Evalina, just you wait!”
