Chapter 32
Chapter 32
Leah
I’m in a total state of shock after seeing the picture on Lana’s pline. I couldn’t even move if I wanted to and only react when she snatches back her phone.
“I think that’s enough proof,” Lana smirks at me, but even though she looks like a villain, I’m not mad at her. I’m actually grateful that she has shown me the light.
“Thank you”
Her eyes widen, and for a moment, she just gapes at me with herjaw halfway to the floor before finding her voice. “Huh? What are you thanking me for?”
“For showing me the truth,” a bitter smile curls my lips as I stand up from the table. “I’m not going to finish my pizza. Do you want what’s the rest of it?”
Lana continues to eyeball me like I’m the most fascinating thing in the world. Eventually, she lifts her nose into the air. “No, I don’t want your leftovers. Pizza is too unhealthy for me. I have to keep my figure.”
“Okay…”
When I turn around to leave, Lanagrips my hand, “Wait,” she says, causing me to turn around in response to her nails digging into my skin. When my eyes meet hers. I find her glaring at me. “Why aren’t you upset or crying your eyes out over Caleb cheating on you?
I shrug even though I’m crying on the inside. Truthfully, I’m only leaving so that I can be sad and dramatic in peace, but I’m not about to admit that to the enemy.
“Maybe I’m not just as into him as you thought,” I mutter, even though it’s a lie–I’m head–over–heels in love with Caleb. It doesn’t matter that he cheated on me. I still have feelings for that damn prick.
Lana relases me. “So you were only in it for the sex?”
“In what?” I question to play dumb. “There’s was nothing to be in. Caleb and I were never a thing.”
I’m impressed by how cold my voice comes out. If I were another person hearing myself, I probably wouldn’t be able to tell I’m lying. Lana seems to share that opinion because she looks truly shell–shocked.
“Oh,” she furrows her eyebrows. “I really thought you
“You were definitely wrong.”
were in love with him… Guess I was wrong.”
With that, I walk up to the elevators, and once the doors close on me, I let the tears fall.
How could Caleb do this to me?
I’m in such pain from his betrayal that I get nothing done once make it back to my room. Packing is out of the picture because when I pick up an item, I realize Caleb bought it for me and then it’s game over since the tears won’t stop running down my face.
The worst part is that when Caleb eventually comes in through the door, whistling while hanging off his jacket, I’m still crying like a little baby. I must look like a broken, pregnant woman while he is the picture of perfection. I can smell his

cologne from where I’m sitting, and it only serves to make me even more depressed because I bet he chose his nicest scent for this other woman who isn’t me.
Melting that fact isn’t easy. My stomach churns with anxiety, and when Caleb finally looks at me, he pauses in his tracks and does a double–take as if he can’t believe what he is seeing right now–me crying
“Did something happen?”
His question makes me freeze and think for two seconds. Do I pretend like nothing is wrong, or do I just walk straight into the line of fire and tell him that I know about the other woman?
I choose the line of fire. Screw it.
I stand up from the bed, my eyes blazing through the tears. “Who was that woman, Caleb?”
His brows knit together in confusion. “What woman?”
“Don’t play dumb with me!” I growl. “I know that you left the hotel in the company of another woman.” At first, he just blankly stares at me, but then his lips form an armused smile–what the actual fuck?! Anger courses through my veins. “Are you actually smiling right now? After I’ve caught you cheating?!” “Cheating?” he seems taken aback. “Is that what you think I’m doing?”
“What else would you be doing?!” I fire back before holding up my hand. “No, don’t answer that. I am fine, not knowing because you know what? This was never a thing. I’m not in love with you and who you’re seeing when you’re not with me isn’t any of my business.”
“What? You’re not in love with me?” Caleb asks, his eyes raking me up and down as if searching for the truth in my body language.
But I won’t let him see any sort of hesitation. I refuse since I would rather die than admit I’m in love with a man who isn’t faithful to me.
“That’s right…” I say and take a step closer to him.
Caleb watches me with a raised eyebrow but doesn’t move. It gives me time to put my hands on his chest, and my cheeks flame when a flicker of amusement crosses his features.
“What are you doing?” he asks.
“Getting rid of you,” I bite out, causing him to chuckle. I glare at him in return, but the smile on his lips doesn’t vanish. Not for a second.
Instead, he has the audacity to tease me. “You’re very cute when you’re angry.”
Fucking asshole.
My lips part to say something insulting, but I close them when I realize he is gazing down at me. His face is soft. Thoughtful. A ghost of a smile touching just the corner of his lips. Is he…playing with me? My face grows maddeningly hot at the thought. Here I am, accusing him of cheating on me, and he is playing games?!
“You shouldn’t be here,” 1 growl, breaking the silence between us

To my surprise, he chuckles again.
“Because you think I’m cheating on you?”
“I don’t think you’re cheating on me–I know that you’re cheating on me, Caleb!”
He sighs heavily in response and opens his arms as if wanting to hug me. I gasp and stagger backward in response.
“Don’t t
“Don’t touch me!”
The calm expression on his face changes, and I see anger ticking against his jaw.
“Are you actually being serious right now?” he asks. “You really think I’ve cheated on you?”
Another sigh. “Well, I haven’t.”
Having had enough of his lies, I growl and place my hands on his broad chest, shoving against his upper abs. He blinks in confusion and watches me from above, completely unmoved.
Releasing a “Gah!” sound, I do it again. And again. But it’s like trying to move a mountain.
Eventually, Caleb cocks his head. “What are you doing-
Fin pushing you to get rid of you!” I grit my teeth like a chihuahua getting ready for a fight, groaning with effort as I throw myself at him like a wrestler.
Caleb snorts, which pisses me off even more.
“Don’t make fun of me!” I snap.
His lips twitch, but he covers his mouth with the back of his hand to silence a laugh. The problem, however, is that I can see his grinning mouth.
“You’re such a jerk!” I growl something which causes him to drop his hand and smile.
“I’m sorry, but are you actually trying to move me?”
“Yes, I am!” I yell while trying to push his stupidly large body towards the door. “And you better get out of my room before I punch your stupid face!”
“I–I’m sorry,” he doesn’t look as sorry as he sounds, “but I’m having trouble taking this seriously. First, you accuse me of cheating, and now you’re trying to wrestle with me, someone more than twice your size?”
I cry out, enraged by his words, and shove him again.
Nothing happens.
“Jesus,” Caleb looks at me with a glittering smile. “Did you hit your head or something? You’re tiny, Leah. I’m not going to be
moved.”
“I can at least try!” I bark before shoving at him again.
Chapter 32
Caleb pulls his lips into his mouth to contain his laughter before pretending I’m strong enough to push him over to the door.
1, however, am so focused on pushing the bastard out of the room that I don’t realize he is letting me until his back hits the door with a gentle thud. When I look up at his face, he’s gazing down at me with an unreadable expression
“Leah,” he murmurs, his voice low and serious now. “I need you to listen to me very carefully. I did not cheat on you. I would never do that.”
I glare up at him, my hands still pressed against his chest. “Then explain why you left the hotel in the company of that woman. Who is she, Caleb?”
He hesitates–something which makes me glare at him harder, and that’s when he sighs. “I can’t tell you. Not yet, but I promise I didn’t-
“Get out.”
…excuse me?”
“You heard me,” I snarl. “Get out. Now.”
Caleb’s eyes widen in shock at my harsh tone. “Leah, please, just let me explain-
“Explain what?” I cut him off. “That you can’t keep it in your pants for even a second? I was having a bad morning, and what’s the first thing you do: find another girl to fuck!”
Caleb’s handsome face darkens, his eyes narrowing as he gazes down at me intensely.
Yikes, he isn’t going to hit me, is he?
I’ve read about men that mistreat their woman once they get pissed off enough, but Caleb never hits me. Instead, he grabs my wrists and pins them above my head against the door. I gaspin surprise, my breath catching in my throat as his hard body presses against mine, trapping me.
“You’ve got it all wrong, Leah,” he growls. “I would never betray you like that. You want proof?”
Before I can respond, he pulls down his pants and boxers and grabs my hand to place it over his balls.
“Grab them and feel how heavy they are,” he orders.
I hesitate for a moment, shocked by his bold demand. But I’m not one to deny him and grab his balls without a complaint
They are indeed heavy and swollen like they haven’t been emptied in days.
Caleb groans at my touch, his erection twitching against my wrist. “Do you feel that, Leah? I haven’t gotten off since the last time I was with you.”
