Silverstone’s pov
It was Elish, she had dropped the big traypan that she was carrying, thank goodness that she wasn’t hurt.
I turned back to Serena, her face flared, her nose flaring,
“I don’t want to talk about that sis, if you were going to make her uncomfortable then there was no need to allow me invite her over in the first place.”
“I was only trying to get to know her, I didn’t mean any harm.” I explained but Serena wasn’t convinced.
“You knew that she wasn’t feeling well yet you kept throwing questions at her. You even forgot the table manners dad taught
- us.
“But…” she cut me through saying,
“Look sis, I don’t want to get mad at you, it’s in the past, I forgive you.”
“And is that why you don’t want to tell me about the chit chat you all were having?” I let out a soft smile, trying to ease the tension in the room.
“I wasn’t really interested in what they were saying”
She was sure to be a hard nut to crack. She probably didn’t want to tell me anything about her friends.
While we we’re having breakfast, my phone rang severally but I chose to ignore it. It was Jared that called. I didn’t want to give Serena a reason to think that I was in a hurry to leave her at the dining table.
I wanted to take my time with her, I wanted to make it up to her at least, for everything that happened last night.
After breakfast, I tried calling Jared but coincidentally, his call came in at the same time.
“Hey Silverstone.”
“Hello Jared.”
“Good morning my darling. I trust that you slept well last night?.“”
He was being too polite with me this morning and for a lot of reasons, I wasn’t comfortable with it.
“You don’t have to be nice to me, Jared. I’ve already agreed to follow you, right? Save me all this drama.” “Come on Silverstone, don’t be like that.”
“Like what?”
He was silent for a while, taking deep breaths as he tried to ease the tension in my voice.
“When will you be ready? I could come pick you up.”
“You don’t have to, I’ll make it there myself.”
“But you don’t know the location, come on Silverstone, stop trying to play hard to get”

I should stop trying to play hard to get! He sure is a lunatic. He wants me to give in to him like I did in my past life!
That was never happening again.
“Text me the address and I’ll meet you there,”
“But it will no longer be a surprise if you get there yourself? You know that you owe me one for that land L…
“Okay!” I said emphatically.
There was no need for him to try to emotionally blackmail me, I sure didn’t want that
“Pick me up in an hour. Let me know once you
ou start coming.”

“Okay, I’ll be with you shortly. and don’t forget to look hot for me.” He added, then the call dropped.
I tossed in a pair of black jeans and a red peplum top, styled my long brown hair to a ponytail and in no time I was done preparing.
The only jewelry I had on were my bracelets.
He sure knows who he wanted to look sexy for him, that wasn’t me.
As we drove to the venue, I couldn’t help but monitor him closely. Even though I was sure that he wouldn’t hurt me, I didn’t want to take any chances so I already texted Klein about it. I also shared my location with him and Maria.
We got to a building and he pulled out a silk blindfold.
I hesitated, my Luna instincts fighting against the idea of being vulnerable again around him.
“Jared, I don’t.
“Trust me, please.” He said softly, still holding up the silk blindfold.
-When have I ever given you a reason not to trust me? I mean, I know that we’re not best of friends but…”
When has he ever given me a reason not to trust him? Jared must be sick with amnesia! I tried so hard to stop myself from” giving him instances where he gave me a thousand reasons not to trust him.
He stepped closer, his voice gentle.
“Just this once, let’s let go of the pack’s activities and just try to rekindle our friendship.”
I was silent for a while, I didn’t want him to continue with his trust sermon so I just nodded in agreement.
My heart raced as the soft fabric covered my eyes. His warm hands found mine, guiding me every step through the way.
I could smell flowers, even the cracks of what seemed like candles were not left out.
When we finally stopped, Jared moved behind me to untie the blindfold.
I gasped at the sight before me. Hundreds of candles cast a warm glow over an intimate table set for both of us. rose petals created a path to our seats, and fairy lights twinkled overhead like stars.
No doubt that it was beautiful, but it must have taken a lot of time to achieve this,
I can’t say a lot of money as it was all the pack’s money that he stole from us
“I thought to have a proper date with you. Silverstone.” He smiled, pulling out my chair.
“No pack. No shouting. Just us.”
No doubt that it was beautiful but I sure couldn’t admit it before him.
“I appreciate your kind gesture. Jared. But I looked at the room again.
“I don’t think that it was necessary.” I continued, my face was void of emotions.
I looked at his face, he was sad.
He probably didn’t get the excitement he was expecting.
“Will it always be this hard to make you mine? I’m trying, Silverstone. Cut me some slack.”
He was silent for a while, as he tried to control his emotions.
“I didn’t just bring you here to talk about our relationship, I have something to tell you.”
