Noelle’s current address was No. 37, Serene Street, and it was Hendrix’s first time there.

“Why not?” Hendrix took a glance at the various advertisements glued to the wall next to them and asked, “Is there someone else in your place?”
“Of course not.
“Then, why not?”
In an uptight tone, she replied, “I just don’t understand the point of you coming upstairs.”
“I want to check if there’s anyone else at your place. That’s the point.” He shifted his gaze slowly back at her.” During this period, I hope that our relationship will be clean.”
“Since you don’t trust me, why do you want to do this with me?”

Noelle was tongue–tied, realizing that she was completely at a disadvantage after what happened between them last night.

It was beyond Hendrix why Noelle would call such a place home. The more ridiculous part was she’d rather live here than accept his arrangements.

The decoration was cozy, but that didn’t help with the fact that the place was cramped. Both of them were standing now, and it seemed like they didn’t even have the space to turn around.
Hendrix estimated that he might not be able to stretch on her bed. Back then, when he was at the grassroots level, he hadn’t even lived in a place like this.
“Are you done?” Noelle asked, lifting her head at him.
“Yeah.”
“You can leave now,” Noelle passed the eviction order. “As you can see, there’s no one else here, is there?”
Hendrix chuckled softly after she finished speaking, and she couldn’t help but frown at his smirk because he wasn’t a person who was keen on smiling.
