At the beginning of December, Noelle and Hendrix went to take their wedding photos. This time, everything progressed much more smoothly than when they got married the first time.
Hendrix had Noelle’s wedding dress specially custom–made, and according to the stylist, just the tiny diamonds on the dress alone cost more than an average person’s annual salary.
When the stylist mentioned this, her voice and expression were filled with envy. But Noelle felt nothing at all.
After finishing their second outfit change, Noelle unexpectedly ran into someone in a theme park’s lobby.
At first, she hadn’t recognized the woman.
For today’s wedding photoshoot, Hendrix had rented out the entire amusement park. Even though there were no tourists, plenty of staff were still around.
So at first, Noelle assumed the woman was just another park employee. That was until she heard her call out, “Ms.
Swanson.”
Noelle stopped in her tracks and turned to look at her..
“You don’t recognize me, do you?” The woman quickly smiled. “Let me introduce myself–I’m Jean Fisher.”
Noelle frowned slightly. She felt like she had heard that name before, but she couldn’t remember where.
But Jean didn’t make things difficult for her and quickly said, “I’m Dylan’s fiancée.”

moment those words fell, Noelle immediately understood, and her lips pressed into a tight line.
Jean, however, smiled and said, “Hmm, looks like you do low me.”
“I saw your wedding invitation,” Noelle replied.
“Oh, right.” Jean nodded, as if just remembering. “But this should be our first time meeting, no? Let’s get acquainted, Mrs. Freeman.”
The shift in how she addressed Noelle was swift. As a fellow woman, Noelle immediately caught the hostility in her eyes.
She didn’t say much, only extending a hand for a brief handshake. “Nice to meet you.”
Their hands met for just a moment before Jean quickly withdrew hers.
“You two are here for your wedding photoshoot? Don’t take it the wrong way–I’m not stalking you. I just happened to have a friend working here, so I dropped by to see her.”
Noelle nodded. “I see.”
“You and Mr. Freeman seem to have such a great relationship.” Jean smiled again. “By the way, are you two free tonight? Why don’t we have dinner together?
“N”
Before Noelle could answer, another voice cut in behind her “Ms. Fisher.”
Then, Noelle felt herself being pulled gently into an embrace.
“Mr. Freeman,” Jean greeted him with apparent familiarity “I was just talking to your wife, it’s been a while since we last saw each other, hasn’t it? How about dinner tonight? Surely, you’re not so busy that you can’t spare

“Since you’re the one inviting us, I’d have to make time even if I had none,” Hendrix replied with a smile while holding Noelle’s hand. “But is it going to be just the three of us?”
“And my fiancé, of course. You both know him, don’t you?”
“Yeah, we do.” Hendrix’s grip on Noelle’s hand tightened slightly. “That’s perfect. I was actually thinking about inviting you two for dinner as well–looks like there’s no need to wait for another day.”
“Great! I’ll call Dylan now.”
As Jean spoke, she pulled out her phone.
The two of them played along effortlessly, going back and forth as if they had rehearsed the whole thing.
Noelle had no room to interject at all. Of course, she had no right to refuse, either.
And just like that, the dinner was set.
