Luna Vengeance by Shevaux Vlada Chapter 19

Chapter 19

“I need your help.”

Killian barely glanced up from the map he was studying, his fingers trailing over the parchment, tracing the borders of our packs as if they were mere lines to be erased.

I clenched my fists. “Did you hear me?”

He finally looked up, his dark eyes gleaming with something unreadable. “I did.” He leaned back against his chair, arms crossing over his chest. “But I’m more interested in why you think I would help you.”

I exhaled sharply, stepping forward. “I need to find my father.”

That got his attention.

His eyebrows lifted slightly, amusement flickering across his face. “Your father?”

I nodded. “I haven’t seen him in years. I don’t know if he’s alive or dead. But he’s the only one who knows about my bloodline, and I need answers.”

Killian tilted his head, watching me like a predator sizing up his prey. “Answers about what?”

“My lineage. The curse. Everything.” I kept my voice steady, controlled. “If I don’t understand where this curse came from, I’ll never be able to break it.”

Silence stretched between us.

Then, Killian did something that made my blood boil.

He laughed.

A low, rumbling sound that sent a shiver down my spine—not from fear, but from rage.

I gritted my teeth. “What the hell is so funny?”

Killian shook his head, leaning forward, his elbows resting on his knees. “Do you think I’m stupid, my love?”

My heart stilled. “Excuse me?”

His smirk widened. “You want to find your father, not for answers, but to destroy him.”

I didn’t flinch. I didn’t react.

But something in my expression must have given me away because his smirk only deepened.

“So tell me, my love,” he murmured, voice dropping into something darker. “Are you planning on leaving me?”
