Luna Vengeance by Shevaux Vlada Chapter 56

Chapter 56

A flood of emotions surged through me at Tyler’s words. It felt like time had halted, the restaurant’s bustling activity dimming to a distant hum. The sincerity in his eyes was almost too much to bear, and I struggled to find my voice

My heart was a storm of feelings as I looked at Tyler, my own emotions for him swirling within. Tears welled up in my eyes as I reached out to grasp Tyler’s hand, but my voice remained silent.

“I…” The words wouldn’t come.

She wasn’t sure, and he squeezed her hand in return. He understood.

The crisp morning air kissed my skin as I rode through the woods, the rhythmic sound of my horse’s hooves calming my restless thoughts. Not only because Tyler said he loved me. But also because despite all the precautions, despite Tyler tightening security, we still had no clue who tried to kill me.

It was driving me insane. I had needed to get away, even if only for a short while. The trees stretched tall around me, their leaves whispering in the gentle wind.

I inhaled deeply, letting the peaceful silence settle inside me. But that peace didn’t last long. Because as I rounded the bend in the trail, I saw him.

Killian.

Standing by his black stallion, waiting. As if he had known I would be here. My hands tightened on the reins. I considered turning around. But deep down, I knew. There were still things left unsaid between us.

So I stopped. Our eyes met. And for the first time in a long time, there was no anger. No hostility.

Just two people with a history too complicated to put into words. Killian tilted his head slightly. “You look better than the last time I saw you.”

I smirked. “That’s what happens when you’re not lying in a coma for two months and you’re not forced to save a long forgotten pack.”

A flicker of something passed through his gaze, but he just nodded. “Right.”

Silence stretched between us. Then he sighed. “You’ve wandered too far from your beloved pack.”

I hesitated. I didn’t know how to answer that. So I went with the truth. “I just needed to clear my head.”

Killian studied me carefully, as if reading between the lines. Then, slowly, he exhaled. “I see, or maybe deep down you’ve been longing to see me?”

Another pause.

And then I heaved a sigh and looked him straight in the eye.

“I’m pregnant.”

The words slipped out before I could overthink them. Killian’s expression didn’t change at first. Then, his eyebrows lifted slightly. “Pregnant?”

I nodded. For a moment, he just stared at me. And then—he smiled. A real smile. Not mocking. Not forced.

Just… genuine.

“Well then, congratulations to us!”

His voice was soft. Sincere. I let out a breath I hadn’t realized I’d been holding. “I have to go back…I am still Tyler’s Luna.”

He nodded once, as if accepting a reality he never thought would exist. And in that moment, I knew something had shifted between us.

I pulled on the reins. “I should go.”

Killian took a step back, watching me. And as I turned my horse around, his voice followed me.

“You’ve been a very good girl, Aurora.”

I gulped not really knowing what to say. “Maybe.”

I took the reins of my horse and urged it forward, not once looking back. I simply rode away. By the time I reached the estate, the sun had risen higher, casting a golden glow over the land.

But my reverie was quickly interrupted the moment I dismounted and stepped onto the stone pathway.

Tyler was there—standing by the entrance, arms crossed, his expression unreadable.
I barely had time to process before he walked up to me, his golden eyes locking onto mine.

“You’re still talking to Killian?”

His voice was calm. Too calm. I met his gaze without hesitation.

“No, I wasn’t.”
