Chapter 11
Seeing that his favorite great–grandson was so aggrieved, Alec’s heart was about to melt in love and sympathy for Ryland. Alec took Ryland into his arms and coaxed, “Oh, my sweetie, don’t cry.”
Ryland pursed his lips and said in a choked voice, “Great–Granddud, am I really that bad? Why does a mere kindergarten not want me? I feel so sad…”
Alec said, “Oh, my sweetheart! Don’t be sad! I’ll punish whoever dares say you’re lousy.”
Lucille twitched her lips as she stared at the scene in front of her.
She shouted in her heart. How did things progress to this?
Ryland said that it was a mere kindergarten?
Goodness gracious! That’s Sovereign Kindergarten!
It was a fact that 1 did not try my best to use my connections to get Ryland into Sovereign Kindergarten, but that was because it was not worth spending so much time and energy on Ryland.
Besides, it’s true that Ryland has no foundation in his studies. He’s indeed lousy! When Elise was five years old, she could already recite hundreds of poems! Does Ryland really need to behave in such an aggrieved manner in front of Alec?
He’s simply overreacting!
Lucille thought for a while and said, “Ryland, you are so smart and cute! You’re not lousy at all. It’s just Sovereign Kindergarten, so don’t be scared. They don’t want you, but we could care less about them too. Granny will find an even better kindergarten for you, okay?”
Samantha sneered and then said mockingly, “A kindergarten better than the Sovereign Kindergarten? Lucille, are you intending to send Ryland abroad?”
“I won’t agree to that!” Alec immediately objected. “Ryland is still so young, he can’t leave me and go abroad.”
“Precisely. I don’t want to leave my intelligent son too.” Samantha nibbled on the nuts and said with a playful smile, “What’s wrong with you, Lucille? Despite the status of our family in Elstunda, you can’t even handle a Sovereign Kindergarten. If others know about this, they’ll all be laughing at us.”
Upon hearing this, Alec stared at Lucille with a dark expression.
“She’s right. Ryland is my only great–grandson. If he doesn’t attend the best kindergarten in Elstunda, what will others think? It’ll be so embarrassing!” Alec thought.
Raw anger shot through Alec, and he pounded his walking stick hard against the floor. “You handled this matter badly, he berated.
A crimson blush came over Lucille’s face after she got scolded by Alec.
It had been a long time since Alec scolded her like this, not to mention scolding her in front of Samantha and Ryland.
Lucille felt very embarrassed.
It was beyond humiliating and infuriating.
Initially, Lucille thought that with Samantha’s wimpy personality, after knowing that Sovereign Kindergarten rejected Ryland. Samantha would leave this matter alone. When that happened, Lucille planned to sweet–talk her and persuade Samantha to agree for Ryland to attend another kindergarten.

That way, Lucille would not need to spend all that money.

In Lucille’s opinion, Ryland did not deserve to study in such a good kindergarten. After all, he was Samantha’s son and that bitch’s grandson
However, Samantha seemed like she had gotten enlightened. Without saying anything else, she immediately brought this matter to Alec’s attention. Samantha took advantage of Alec’s adoration for Ryland and put her in a tough spot,
At this moment, Lucille did not dare to make Alec angry.
Lucille took a deep breath and pressed down her anger. She said gently, “Then I’ll find another way.”
“No need!” Samantha stood up and raised her head. A nut fell directly into her mouth.
This series of actions was done in one motion, looking incredibly cool.
Samantha chewed the nuts casually and stared at Lucille with a funt smile. Tll bring Ryland there myself. I won’t trouble you anymore, Lucille. After all, you seem insincere. From the looks of it, it seems like you don’t wish us well. Anyways, that can’t be helped. After all, we’re not biologically related to you. As Ryland’s mother, I can only personally head over to Sovereign Kindergarten and register for him.”
“Son, let’s go.” After saying that, Samantha used one hand to toss her hair back while the other hand was in her pocket. With that, she sauntered out the door like a big shot.
Ryland hurriedly followed her.
Lucille’s face turned pale, and she did not dare to look at Alec’s cold gaze.
After taking Ryland out, Samantha took a taxi directly to the Sovereign Kindergarten.
There was around half an hour left before school ended, so they managed to get there in time.
At the entrance of the admissions office, Samantha grinned at Ryland.
“Kiddo, how is Mommy’s smile?” Samantha asked.
“Beautiful!” Ryland complimented. However, that was actually a lie. Her smile looked really fake.
“That’s good.” Samantha smiled proudly and knocked on the door.
“Please come in.” A clear female voice came from inside.
“Excuse me, is Ms. Carrera here?” Samantha asked.
The woman sitting at the desk did not rush to answer her. She had on black–framed glasses and silently studied Samanthat with unconcealed contempt.
Samantha was wearing clothes from random brands, and her hoodie was washed so many times that it appeared white. She did not have a decent watch or necklace at all.
The only thing that caught her eye was Samantha’s looks.
That woman thought, “She’s so young. I guess she should be a mistress of a tycoon.”
At that thought, the disgust in the woman’s eyes deepened again.
Then she said impatiently. Tm Willow Carrera. What can I do for you?”
Samantha naturally did not miss the disdain in Willow’s eyes. Samantha sat directly in front of her with her legs crossed. It

was a big shot sitting posture, Samantha stared at Willow casually without saying anything, which made the latter feel that her scalp was tingling. Willow could not help asking again, “Excuse me, what can I do for you?”
Her attitude was much better than before, and she even showed trace of unconscious respect.
“Ha! Easy–peasy! Samantha thought.
Samantha smiled and said casually, “What else can you do for me? Of course, it’s about registration.”
Willow only felt that Samantha’s smile was so charming and attractive. She was like a seductive vixen!
“No wonder she could become someone’s mistress.
With such looks, she’s qualified enough.
But she’s merely a woman who earns a living from her looks. As for me, In an outstanding teacher who graduated from a reputable university and got hired by Sovereign Kindergarten based on my ability. There’s no need to be afraid of her! thought Willow.
At that thought, Willow felt confident again. She put on a teacher’s stance and asked, “How old is your child?”
“3 years old, answered Samantha.
“Where did he study previously?” asked Willow.
“He hasn’t been to any school yet,” said Samantha.
Willow looked incredulous. “He hasn’t studied in any school before, yet you want him to come to Sovereign Kindergarten? Don’t you know that the child should pass the entrance test before entering the Sovereign Kindergarten?”
“What’s the entrance test?” Samantha was a little impatient and said, “Just let him do it.”
Willow suppressed her anger and thought, Fine. If they want the entrance test, I’ll give them the test!
Since Ryland is already five years old, it’s not overboard to give him the test for the second year, right?
When he gets a zero for the test, he will be embarrassed and then leave!”
Following that, Willow brought Ryland a test paper and asked him to do it quietly,
Samantha did not want to disturb Ryland and went outside.
She wandered around the kindergarten and saw a man in a corner smoking.
That man was wearing a black shirt with suit trousers. His leather shoes were polished till they shone like a mirror.
He had an extraordinary temperament. His body exuded a strong aura of aloofness, daunting people from approaching him easily.
Samantha stroked her chin.
She thought, “From the back view, he does seem a little handsome…”
Tsk.
Her craving to smoke surged when she saw him smoking.
