Chapter 17
The next morning, Lucille drove Samantha to the enrolment.
The moment she set foot into Eureka High School, she was met with a strong sense of hedonism.
During class, a school should be resonating with the sounds of studying students, lecturing teachers, and scribbling pens.
However, at that very moment in Eureka High School, there were people playing in groups on campus, people smoking in a corner, people playing balls on the playground, a group of girls putting on makeup while discussing gossip of the entertainment industry, and even secretly dating in hidden corners….
All in all, there were no signs of studying.
Samantha smirked and thought, “This place is truly a dump.”
“Look! There’s a beauty there!” The group of sharp–eyed smokers saw Samantha and shouted.
All eyes quickly shifted over to look at Samantha
Samantha wore a white hoodie, light blue jeans, and white board shoes.
Her long, black hair was scattered behind her back and she held a lollipop in her mouth.
She was dressed very plainly, but it looked absolutely stunning on her. Her long, straight, and slender legs were especially outstanding.
She was not wearing any makeup, but her skin complexion was surprisingly great, giving off an amazing luster.
With her captivating eyes, Samantha glanced at those who were staring at her, casually and arrogantly.
The beauty mark at the comer of her left eye was even more seductive.
Everyone felt their breath taken away.
“She… She’s too fucking beautiful!” One of the delinquents was having trouble speaking up.
He shook Zephyr, the school bully beside him, and asked, “Boss do you want me to ask about this girl?”
Zephyr stole a few deep glances at Samantha and said nothing.
Then, Lucille took Samantha straight to the principal’s office.
The principal’s son was working for Darius right then. He was about to be promoted, so he had no choice but to greet Lucille with a smile.
“Hello, Mrs. Johansson.”
“Hi, Mr. Sunderland”
Lucille looked at Samantha and said, “Samantha, this is John Sunderland, the principal.”
John looked at Samantha and his eyes inadvertently lit up.
“Didn’t she give birth to a child already? How is she still so beautiful? She’s more beautiful than the campus belles, whose photos are posted in the school forum. Things will be bad if she’s enrolled in Eureka High School with this many philanderers here John thought.

John could not
Lucille’s in “burgive,
Lucille a long stare. He heard that these two were stepmother and stepdaughter.
Lucille’s intentions were obvious.
Although he knew of Lucille’s intention, he could not say anything about it.
After all, it was someone else’s family affairs. He just felt that it was a pity.
John suppressed his thoughts and said with a smile, “I’ll ask the homeroom teacher of Class One to come over.”
Following that, John made a phone call.

Lucille smiled and explained to Samantha, “Class One is the best in Eureka High School. Once you enter Class One, you must study hard under Ms. Hayes, your homeroom teacher. It won’t be a problem for you to get into college.”
Lucille thought, “Haha. There are three months left before SAT, and you‘ enrolled in a useless high school. Are you trying to get into a university or vocational school? Dream on What was the best class in Eureka High School? So what if you got into the best class at Eureka High School?”
“What a bitch!” Samantha thought as she glanced at Lucille with a faint smile. Lucille suddenly felt furious and stopped talking.
She was feeling a little guilty.
“Did she notice something” Lucille wondered.
Two minutes later, Jenna Hayes, the homeroom teacher of Class One, knocked on the door and entered.
“Hello, Mr. Sunderland,” she greeted John with a nod. She seemed respectful on the surface but carried a hint of arrogance.
After all, her class was the best in the whole school every year. She was like the central pillar that supported Eureka High School.
Even in this useless high school, the principal had to show her some respect.
Otherwise, if she left too, this useless high school would not be able to nurture the handful of students who could be admitted into a university.
John nodded at Jenna and then handed over Samantha’s files.
“This is Samantha. She will be studying in your class.”
Jenna took the files and looked through them for half a minute, with her face turning darker every second.
After that, with a loud thud, she slammed Samantha’s file on the table.
“What’s the meaning of this, Mr. Sunderland? Are you sure you want to put a student like this into my class when we’re three months away from the SAT? The exam is around the corner. If it affects the atmosphere of Class–One and reduces our enrollment rate, who will be responsible for the consequences?”
Jenna’s severe and disrespectful words caused the room to fall into a state of awkward silence.
However, they were the only ones feeling awkward. Samantha did not feel the same.
Samantha casually looked through the files Jenna slammed on the table and sneered, “Well, well. A failing grade in every subject with around 20 to 30 points. Equally bad.”
Jenna stared at Samantha with her eyes wide open. Her gaze was seemingly telling everyone that she had never seen such a shameless person!

That made Jenna even angrier. Why was Samantha joining Class One with that kind of attitude?

She glared at John and said, “Mr. Sunderland, this student is not only lacking in basic education, but she is also so old. Her concentration is incomparable to that of a 17 or 18–year–old child. On top of that, her attitude is horrible. I’ll make it clear right now. Class One won’t be taking her in.”
John looked troubled.
Lucille stood by and watched the scene unfolds
any intention of standing up for Samantha.
At first, Lucille was just afraid that Samantha would make a fuss, so she arranged for her to join Class One, which seemed to be the best in Eureka High School just to comfort her.
Although Samantha didn’t make any noise, Lucille never expected the homeroom teacher to be making a scene instead.
It had been a long time since Samantha was ridiculed like that. It was sucia pleasure for Lucille!
Samantha glanced at Jenna and asked, “Which class is the worst?
Jenna rolled her eyes. “Of course it’s Class Eleven!”
“Then I’ll go to Class Eleven,” Samantha stated.
Jenna’s eyes widened again.
Jenna thought, What’s this girl thinking?
Is her appearance the only thing that she is good for? Is she an idiot?
There are only three months left before the exam. Does she not enroll at this point in time to make a final push for better grades?
Is she trying to ruin her future by joining Class Eleven, the worst class?
It’s unbelievablet
It’s a waste of my time to even talk to someone like her!
back and
Jenna glared at John and said, “Mr. Sunderland, there’s only a week left until the second mock test. I have to go administer some mock tests to my students in Class One, so I’ll be leaving now. Feel free to go with whatever arrangements as long as she’s not joining Class One.”
Having said her piece, Jenna left without waiting for a response from anyone.
She was unbelievably arrogant.
Lucille almost burst into laughter.
She thought. “It’s just too exhilarating.”
John rubbed his head awkwardly and asked, “Samantha, are you sure you want to join Class Eleven?”
Samantha responded with a question, “Do I look like I was joking
“How audacious! Why didn’t you take a jab at Jenna earlier?” John thought.
If Samantha knew what he was thinking, she would have laughed out loud.
Why would Samantha waste her time to take a jab at jenna?
Chapter 17
There was plenty of time for Jenna to regret in the future.
Did Jenna think of herself as the central pillar that supported Eureka High School?
Now that Samantha had come, it was about time for a change of that position.
Just then, John cleared his through and quietly called Miranda Weaver, the homeroom teacher of Class Eleven to come over.
Miranda was a new teacher and that was the first time she had led a class. She was very responsible and gentle to her
students.
She read through Samantha’s information and accepted her willingly.
Before leaving, Miranda did not forget to encourage Samantha, saying, “Since you’ve joined Class Eleven, you must study earnestly and finish your homework even though there are only three months left to the exam. There might just be a
miracle”
However, Samantha raised her eyebrows and looked at her. “Who told you that T be studying in school?”
