Chapter 26
Samantha stood ready to deliver a swift kick to the scumbag standing before her when, unexpectedly, Francis leaned in close, his voice possessing a captivating magnetism. “Give me the apron,” he whispered into her ear, his tone soothing and mellifluous,
With a deliberate gesture, he reached out and encircled Samantha’s waist, deftly removing the apron.
The sight left Isaac and Ryland, the two brothers, utterly astounded.
Their daddy… possessed such a talent for flirtation.
Samantha gazed at the audacious man as he effortlessly donned the apron he had taken from her. An inexplicable urge to deliver a resounding slap surged through her.
How dare he engage in such flirtation?
Did he not realize that the last man who dared to touch her inappropriately suffered a broken hand as punishment?
Furthermore, despite her own flirtatious behavior towards him on two occasions before, he had remained indifferent, unresponsive to her advances.
And now, in a sudden epiphany, he found himself awestruck by her exquisite and captivating presence?
Well, Samantha had no intention of indulging his newfound admiration.
“There’s a long queue of suitors pursuing me, lining all the way Yorksland. So why should I waste my time on a scumbag like him?” Samantha scoffed icily and strode away, completely forgetting to set down the kitchen knife she held in her hand.
Ryland murmured under his breath, “Mommy’s ears are flushed”
Francis gazed intently at Samantha’s retreating form, a soft chuckle escaping his lips.
He should have anticipated that she alone possessed the ability to captivate him so deeply.
From their childhood days to the complexities of adulthood, she remained a truly fascinating individual.
Half an hour later, the private room became permeated with the tantalizing aroma of a diverse array of dishes.
Velma’s renowned chicken
intended for Samantha’s lolle soup. Francis‘ delectable baked pork ribs with potatoes, the unexpected omelet (originally
intended for Samantha’s loco moco), and the acclaimed specialties from Whisperwind Villa–meatloaf, spicy fish stew, and succulent meatballs.
Four individuals, six delectable dishes.
Seated upon a stool, Ryland gazed at the table adorned with visually enticing and mouthwatering creations, his stomach emitting a raucous growl.
Ti so hungry! Ryland is already half a head shorter than Isaac. Today, I shall consume heartily, nourishing myself with the aim of catching up to Isaac’s height soon!”
Isaac said calmly. “Ryland, remember to drink milk every day and ensure an adequate intake of calcium. You shou avoid being overly selective with your food. Vegetables are a must…
“Alright, alright!” Ryland hastily interrupted Isaac’s lecture–like advice. “From this day forth, Isaac, you shall personally oversee my eating habits, agreed? Let’s start eating now.”
“Very well, let’s eat,” Isaac concurred.

Chapter 26
Francis picked up a piece of meatballs and placed it in Ryland’s bowl as he uttered, “Let’s eat, Ryland.”
Thank you, Mr. Gurray, Ryland expressed his gratitude.
“You can call me just like Isaac does.”
Ryland chewed on the meatballs, his gaze fixed upon Francis with a spark of anticipation. “Does that mean calling you Daddy?”
“Yes,” Francis replied, his nod gentle and affirmative.
Just as Ryland was about to say it out loud, Samantha’s voice sliced through the air, brimming with a murderous tone.
“Do you simply comply with someone’s request without maintaining your own opinions and dignity?”
Ryland pouted in grievance.
He possessed his own thoughts and opinions, and his opinion was to call him Daddy
After all, he envied how Isaac addressed him as Daddy so affectionately.
Furthermore, he held a remarkably favorable impression of this compassionate father figure. Francis was not only handsome and formidable but also skilled in the culinary arts.
He pondered, “Why wouldn’t anyone desire such an exceptional father figure?”
However, deep within, Ryland was more inclined to Samantha
If Samantha disapproved of Ryland calling Francis Daddy, then Ryland would comply.
Ryland lowered his head, consuming his meal in silence, a stark departure from his typically lively and energetic demeanor/
It was obvious that he was displeased and throwing a minor tantrum.
Samantha noticed his downcast expression as he listlessly ate the food on his plate without even picking up any dishes. Her eyebrows knitted together, and she tenderly selected a piece of beef, coaxing him in a gentle tone, “Good boy, Ryland. In the future, Mommy will find you an even better Daddy, okay?”
“What?” Ryland’s eyes widened. “Mommy, are you going to find me a stepfather?”
“Well, what do you think?” Samantha playfully inquired.
In the blink of an eye, Ryland erupted into tears, sobbing uncontrollably.
Samantha immediately grew anxious, uncertain about how to console him. “What’s the matter? Why are you crying like
this?”
Ryland’s cries grew even louder. They say that when a stepfather appears, a stepmother follows–If Mommy finds a stepfather, Ryland will become a pitiable child deprived of a father’s love and a mother’s care. Oh, how wretched I will be!” His wails and screams seemed capable of shaking the very foundation of the house.
“What in the world are you talking about?” Samantha was utterly perplexed. “What goes on inside that little mind c

Furs?”
Sobbing, Ryland tearfully gazed at Isaac and uttered, “Isaac, if Mommy does find me a stepfather someday, please remember to stay in touch with me every month. I fear that if I’m not cautious, the stepfather might inflict harm upon me, even to the point of my demise. Then you won’t have an adorable Ryland anymore. Oh, the horror!”
The more he cried, the more his distress intensified, as if he could shatter the roof above them.

Samantha impatiently slammed her hand on the table. “Enough Call him whatever you wish! Whether you address him as Daddy or old man, I couldn’t care less!”
Ryland’s expression instantly transformed. He ceased his wailing and howling, his teary eyes brimming with anticipation as he gazed at Samantha. “Really?”
Samantha glared at him and mused to herself, This lule imp, he was obviously pretending just now. He’s only five years old, yet he’s already displaying such cunning behavior.
What will become of him as he grows older? Will he swindle away my meager possessions? Perhaps I should simply send both sons to be raised by Francis”
Samantha pursed her lips, contemplating the troubling possibilities. “Of course, it’s true. After all, he’s your biological father, and I have no say in that matter, Samantha muttered, her voice laced with bitterness.
“Of course, you do have a say. You’re the biological mother of both children, Francis responded, his smile faint and enigmatic.
“Shut up!” Samantha erupted, her voice filled with anger.
It was this contemptible man who caused Samantha to become the mother to two children, indirectly thrusting Samantha into the role of a mother to the two children.
He is solely to be blamed for this mess.
Although Samantha directed her anger toward him with a resounding shout, Francis remained unfazed, not succumbing to anger. Instead, he plucked a piece of fish for her and remarked, “Eat more fish to keep you beautiful.”
“I’m already beautiful enough!” Samantha retorted, although her words contradicted her actions as she consumed the fish handpicked by Francis.
There was no other reason, she was merely hungry and happened to enjoy fish.
Furthermore, the flavor of this particular fish was undeniably delectable, prompting her to help herself to several more pieces.
Ryland stopped crying, and he resumed his lively and playful demeanor, engaging in conversation and laughter with Isaac. They relished in a delightful and satisfying meal, their bellies content and rounded.
“Let’s go, let’s go fruit picking, or fishing, or perhaps embark on a hike. You may choose,” Samantha proposed, her tone brimming with enthusiasm.
Ryland’s gaze darted around, and then he suggested, “Let’s go fishing. It just so happens that Isaac’s legs aren’t at their best today, so we can have a friendly competition to see who catches more fish.”
“Sounds good. We can have grilled fish together in the evening. Anyway…” Isaac glanced at Simantha, and then continued, “It seems that Ms. Johansson particularly enjoys eating fish.
After all, he had discreetly observed the dishes Samantha had chosen earlier and noticed her fondness for fish. Samantha contemplated quietly. “The eldest son is so considerate. Maybe I should trade the youngest son instead?” Shortly after, Francis fetched the fishing rod that had been stored in the villa, along with the necessary bait.
Velma brought along a small stool and some snacks, leading the way

As they sel

Francis turned around, gesturing to Isaac and Ryland to keep quiet so as not to disturb her slumber.
With a tender gaze, Francis continued to observe Samantha.
Her long eyelashes cast a delicate shadow on her closed eyelids.
She possessed a petite and graceful nose, lips with a rosy hue, and a shimmering beauty mark at the corner of her eye.
Bathed in sunlight, she appeared ethereal, akin to a flawless and exquisite doll.
