Eden’s POV
“Hello, Miss workaholic, Ruby teased calling my attention from the work I was doing
“Hello boo, how are you?”
“I’m fine thank you, and how are you too?” she replied with a tight hug.
“I’m good.”
“How is CC and her dad doing?”
“They’re all fine,” she replied, taking her seat.
“What are you doing in my office, I can’t remember the last time you were here, hope I’m safe?”
“The outcome of our talk will decide whether you’re safe or not”
“How are you preparing for Inez’s wedding?”
Hope your Mr. pestilence of a boss will let you be at the girls night before the wedding?”
“You know how Inez can be, so don’t even dream of missing it.”

“Common you guys should take it easy on my boss and I, and please stop calling him names,”
Oh wow!
“Why am I not surprised she asked?”
“What are you doing in my office by the way?”
“I was at the neighborhood so I decided to stop by and say hi, since you’re to busy to remember us, I decide to check up on you.”
“Or is there anything wrong with me being here?”
“What if my boss gets angry that I’m not working rather jisting with you at work hours?”
“Hallelujah, if this is all it will take for you to be free from this bondage then darling I have come to stay until you’re free.” she said, taking more comfort into the seat.
“Are you for real? Will you be the one to pay my bills?” I asked with a smile.
“How much do you think your bill cost that I can’t afford,” she bragged, raising her shoulders high.
“But then, on a serious note, you’re a smart lady and many organizations out there will be waiting to have a touch of your smartness, so my darling you can always get a more flexible and less self consuming job out there,” she preached.
We were in the midst of our jisting when the scent of Hunter hit my senses with a growing goosebumps on my skin, I lifted up my head to see where he was

He was standing right there beside us, it seems like I have become a scent hound..
“He..hey,” I stuttered.
“Hi, 1 can see you have a visitor,”
“Yea…
Ruby greeted him.
“Okay, I was heading out for lunch but let me not interrupt your conversation, I will just grab a few snacks around,” he said.
“Are you sure it’s okay with you that I stay back while you go out?
“Yea, I’m sure,” a grin played on his lips.
“Do you care for any?” he asked
“Don’t worry I will grab your favorite snack for you,” he said before I could answer.
“Alright then, thanks,” I smiled at him as he left.
He is just too sweet. How would I have missed this sweetest part of him? He is waltzing his way into my heart, and he is so fast in doing that, I thought to myself.
I wish I could boldly shout out to the world that he is mine and mine alone.
Memories were clouding me when Ruby snatched me out of it with a tap of her finger.
“Hey, hey, what’s with you and him?”
“Are you now some kinda love birth? What’s with the lovey dovey act you guys just displayed right now?”
“Or is there anything you want to tell me that I don’t know,” she gave me a suspicious side look with a sly smile displayed on her lips.
“No, what are you talking about?”
“I know you so well, there’s something you’re not telling me?”
“Or would you rather I called Inez so she could force those words out of you?”
Uhmm?
“No, why would you do that?”
“I told you already, it’s nothing.”
Inez cannot be a part of this because she will definitely force those words out of my mouth and I’m not ready to let it out to
anyone.
I’m serious it nothing, so there’s nothing to tell mummy Inez,”
“Okay, whatever it is, I’m sure it will bloom with time,” she wiced with a suspicious side look.
“It’s just the boss–assistant thing and nothing more.”
“About the wedding. I will definitely be involved in everything from now henceforth,”

“Inez will serve her wedding guest my head if I should miss out on anything from now,” I said playfully and we both laughed.
Lunchtime was over, the complex was becoming busy with people moving into their respective working space.
“Hello.” Sam greeted.
“Hi Samantha, welcome back.”
“I picked up these files from the admin on my way,” she placed the file on the desk.
“Let me get going already, Zane is having a meeting, I will pick up C.C from school,”
“Miss workaholic, have a good day,”
“I will boo, have a good day to, and send my warm regards to Zane and the little one,”
Hunter walked in just when she was living, he came in holding a snack pack in his hand.
He handed the pack of snacks in his hand to me, while I was still going through the file Samantha Brought in.
“Here, take this I got it for you,”
“Awwn, thank you,” I blushed, taking the pack off his hand.
“You’re welcome,”
I smiled with my mouth widely opened from ear to ear as I perceived the scent of the pack content.
With a watering mouth I engulfed the snack into my mouth and grind it softly, I paid details to the flavor im the snack with every mash
The flavor was hitting differently, the snack was so much more juicy than normal.
“Why does this taste different?” I mouthed to myself.
Maybe it’s because he was the on
that got it for me.
I ate the whole snack at a rate twice
my
normal eating rate.
I rounded up the file work on my desk and headed into Hunter’s office.
