groan deeply in frustration running my fingers through my hair down to my face.
1 fell onto the couch with my whole body.
The past few days have been depressing for me.
Hunter has refused to talk to me in the normal way he should, I have seen how distressed and angry he has been for the past.

Trevor has been trying to get to me since the last time and I have been avoiding him.
A battle has been raging within me, the desire to confront my fears of being with Hunter clashes with the comfort of staying in the familiar world of my loneliness.
“Life is simple, why complicate it?” Sam’s voice sounded in my head.

Her words have been ringing in my head since our last conversation.
She is right I guess,maybe all I need is to confront my fears, because as it is right now those fears I don’t want to confront are what makes me happy.
I retreated into the recesses of my thoughts seeking solace.
In the stillness of the night I thought very deep about my life and decided to allow the universe to determine my fate.
“You only live once.” I thought for a while about what Samantha had said to me.
“I deserve to be happy,” I whispered to myself and chuckled.
A sense of calm settled over me.
I stood up from the couch I was laying and went into the kitchen to get a bottle of water.
I took the bottle of water and went into my bedroom with it.

I bathed and slid into my nightie.
The cold breeze from the air conditioner kissed my skin and a cold shiver ran down my body.
With the feeling of excitement, 1 laid in my bed in the dead of the night and slept peacefully.
I woke up very refreshed with no worries in my head.
I went through my phone message and found that Hunter had left a message, stating that we will be attending a business dinner at exactly six pm.
Instantly I began to think of what to wear, I reasoned to wear something simple yet classy.
Ugh my fashion sense is very poor and I don’t have anyone close by to help me out.

I thought for a while and decided to put Inez and Ruby on a conference video call.
Hunter had stated in the message that he will be picking me up by five thirty pm at my place.
So I think I’m taking the day off from babysitting him, or maybe he’s still angry with me. I shoved off the thought because right now I don’t need anything to distract me from my new star.
I went into the kitchen and quickly made an avocado toast for myself. thought that since I’m at home today I would rather not miss my favorite Saturday morning tv show.
It’s a TV show where they talked about interesting random life topics.
I turned on the TV and turned to my favorite channel.
In the surprise turn of events the show was just starting and the topic discussed speaks directly into my soul.
It was more like the host knew what I needed to hear for assurance on how to live my life.
The show came to an end and I was so very excited after the show.
I picked up the dishes before me and walked into the kitchen with a wide spread smile on my face.
It’s almost like the show lifted a load off my shoulders and I feel so light and refreshed.
I washed the used dishes and went into the bedroom to pick up my laptop.
I called Inez to know whether she’s available for a video call
“Hello boo
“Hi darling,” she replied.
“Are you available for a video call?”
“Right now I’m busy, I went to the mall to restock groceries, but I will be back to the house in forty minutes so I will let you know once I’m back to the house,”
“Hope whatever it is can wait?”
“Yes, sure darling it can wait just take your time,”
“Why are you not busy by this time of the day, is everything okay?”
“Yea everything is good, we will talk better when you get home, you gossip,”
We both laughed and hung up the call
There will be no need to call Ruby, I’m sure she will be free by the time Inez calls back.
I went into my wardrobe to see what I could fix myself into for the business dinner.
I searched and searched and ended up selecting ten pairs of dresses that I would like to wear.
I stared at the pairs of dresses laying on my bed.
I chuckled, “Eden, are you going to wear all these dresses on your single self for one night’s dinner.”
I picked up my phone and realized that it’s been two hours since I talked to Incz

I have wasted two hours selecting a dress and still didn’t decide on one.
I went into the sitting and picked up my laptop.
“Hello lovers,” Ruby greeted..
“Hi, you look all dressed up, are you going out or something?” I asked.
“I just returned from the kid’s school,” Ruby replied.
“How are they doing.”
They are all doing snart,”
“Inez, you look so fat up. I’m sure Reese is doing his job rightly.” Ruby teased.
“Like seriously Inez my screen is filled up with your face,” I teased her too.
We talked and chatted for the longest time we could.
I opened up to them about what has been happening in my life and how I have decided to face my fears.
I loved how they didn’t judge me, rather they listened attentively to all that I had to say.
“You deserve to be and you are worth all the good things life has to offer, so my darling do whatever makes you happy,” Inez said with a smile on her face..
“Yea, that’s what it is boo, Inez has said it all, just know that we both are always here for you, right Inez?”
“Yes,” they assured me.
Emotions welled up in my eyes as I listened to what they had to say.
Their words were just so comforting and broken heart menders.

“It’s few minutes past four I have to start getting set, there’s this business dinner I’m attending with Hunter,”
“I was thinking if you ladies will help me select what to wear,”
I have like ten pairs laying on my bed,”
Ruby is the fashionista among us, she has a better humor when it comes to fashion.
Ruby chuckled, “Wait, is it on this one body of yours that you plan to wear ten pairs of dresses for one business dinner.”
“I’m no foreigner to you ladies that I’m not good with fashion,”
“Okay what do you have in mind?” Ruby asked.
“I just want something simple, official and classy,”
“Okay,”
“I think a skirt and buttoned shirt will do,” Inez recommended.
“Yea…and the color combinations should be black and pink,” Ruby added.

“Now what would I have done without you both,” my hands on my chest.
“Nothing darling,” they chorused.
“Alright, thanks for helping out with my outfit, let me go in and get set for the dinner,”
“Yea, you should avoid unleashing more of Mr boss and lover Man’s anger,” Inez teased.
“Bye girlfriends, my regards to your families,”
“Have fun baby girl,” they both said.
I went into the room and started getting set, my mood was brightened.

I dressed up in a black body hugging skirt that is a little above the knee and a crisp pink button up quarter sleeve shirt.
I applied a few touch of make up and packed my hair into a ponytail with a few strands to the front.
I slid my feet into a pair of black heels and picked up my pink purse.
I looked at myself in the mirror with admiration
“You are beautiful Eden.” I whispered into the mirror.
Aside from being a boss, Hunter is also a timekeeper.

cat walked out of the bedroom to the living room, I opened the door and there was Hunter leaning elegantly on the car in his well tailored black on black suits and pants, and a pink tie well knotted on the black buttoned undershirt.
