My face flushes bright red, as my palms grow sweaty. Is he going to ask me to sleep in here again? Or perhaps he just wants me to fix his laundry or clean up something?
“What can I help you with sir?” I ponder, as he walks around me slowly and rubs at his rough chin in sudden thought.
I wasn’t quite sure what was going on here, but I’m guessing he will tell me soon enough…
I’ve been thinking over some things for a few days now Rose…some serious stuff.” The Alpha begins, as I tense at the nature of his words.
This doesn’t sound too promising? Is he going to tell me I’m causing too much trouble? He must think that I am such a baby after how I had acted with the storm last night and after having my bracelet stolen from me today whilst out on a walk!
I was far too much for him to handle… maybe he wants me gone now?!
*Stop freaking out, I can sense your concern.” He states next, as 1 lick my dry lips and nod slowly.
He watches me in the action, seeming mesmerised by the small gesture, before he shakes his head and groans slightly–moving to lean against the wall.
“Do you want to be an official member of this pack?” He suddenly questions, as my eyes grow wide from the ask.
“Of course! I really like it here. I would love to stay.” I explain gently, not wanting to sound too desperate however. I sort of am.
The Alpha smiles, seemingly pleased with my response. “Good, because I want you to be a part of this pack too, Rose. I see potential in you, and I believe that you can become a strong member of our community.” He states, his eyes never leaving my own as he holds me captive there.
He pauses for a moment, seeming to choose his words wisely, before continuing, “In fact, I have a proposition for you. I’d like to offer you something unheard of a serious once in a lifetime opportunity. The Alpha states, as I shuffle from foot to foot in anticipation.
‘Although, it is something that is typically only reserved for mates…” He trails off again, as I squintin confusion.
For mates? What does he mean?
“I want to mark you, Rose. I almost cackle at his words, not believing that he had actually just asked me that.

My eyes widen in surprise, not expecting such a proposal as I open and close my mouth like a fish out of water,
“Mark me, sir? But… but why? Isn’t that something that mates do when they want to spend the rest of their lives together? I enquire, not fully trusting my knowledge on it all considering I hadn’t been taught much past the basics.
I feel a stabbing pain meet my chest next, as I suddenly realise that I had most likely missed my one and only chance to be marked by my true mate since he had rejected me within the first five minutes of us meeting!
The Alpha nods, understanding my concem, before releasing a deep sigh. “Yes, it’s true that marking is a significant gesture shared between mates, signifying and
creating a a deep bond. But in this case, it can serve as much more than that…” He explains, as I choose to remain silent to listen to what he has to say
“You see, I believe that by marking you, my Alpha blood could help strengthen your wolf, and even possibly help bring her to the surface for the first time. You could actually shift, Rose. You’d be stronger, faster and more connected to our pack.” He seems to rush out the benefits, as I blink profusely unable to believe the offer he was throwing out on the table.
But why would he want to mark me? What’s in it for him?
The idea intrigues me, and my excitement grows ever so slightly at the thought of meeting my wolf for the first time.

If marking can make me stronger, it might be the only key to finally connecting me with my wolf. “That sounds amazing, but… what if you find your mate one day? She wouldn’t be happy that you’ve marked another female, Alpha.” I ask cautiously, realising that the whole thing was way too good to be true.
The Alpha’s expression turns serious, as he inhales a slow breath, before taking a moment to respond…
“I should be fully honest with you, Rose, I wouldn’t just be doing this to help you find your well. I am actually on the hunt for a new mate myself” He states, as 1 furrow my brows at him trying my best to keep up.
He’s looking for a new mate? Does that mean he had one already before!
“I don’t want a mate for love, but mostly to help continue my bloodline and to have my pups. As the Alpha, I have to secure the future of my pack.” The Alpha rambles on, as I somewhat understand what he is saying.
“S–So… you had a mate, and you’re looking for another one now? Did it not work out, like mines?” 1 question softly, not wanting to offend him at all.
“No… The girl in the photo frame that you had accidentally knocked over from my desk… that was my mate. She was killed in an attack a few years ago now.” The Alpha admits, avoiding my eye now as 1 can’t hold back the gasp that leaves my mouth.
My heart completely sinks for him, realizing the pain he must carry from losing her. This Alpha was different, he was deserving of a loving mate compared to some other Alphas I had encountered.
“I’m so sorry for your loss, Alpha, she was beautiful.” I tell him truthfully, before lifting my head to find that his gaze had returned to me,
He gives me a faint smile and a curt nod. Thank you, Rose. It’s been tough, but I have responsibilities as the Alpha, and part of that is ensuring the pack’s future is secure. I haven’t met anyone suitable for maintaining my mark, until you turned up. He admits, clearing his throat as he waits for my
response.

“M–Me? Are you sure? I’m probably the worst choice, Alpha. I’m scared of my own shadow at this rate!” I babble, causing him to smirk at the statement.
“That is exactly why I want you. You’re humble compared to the other females. You value each and every little thing you have in life. You re a good woman Rose, you deserve a chance at living a good life and I can give you that.” He bargains, as I shake my head in shock at what he was asking of me.
He continues, ‘By marking you, it doesn’t mean you’ll have to be in love with me. It’s a different kind of bond, one that will make you stronger, and in return, if I find you fit enough, you could become the packs Luna. It would give my members some peace of mind too. The Alpha pushes, as my eyes almost fall out of my head.
“O–Oh no! A Luna?! Not me Alpha! I could never, I blunder, suddenly feeling as though I was stuck in a dream.
This cannot be happening…
I’m completely taken aback now by the possibility of becoming the Luna, the Alpha’s second–in–command. “Tm… just a maid, I murmur next, feeling the full force of my doubt creeping in.
The Alpha takes this as his moment to approach me, as I still in his presence, before he gently places a hand on my chin, tilting it upwards to meet his gaze. “You’re more than that, Rose. I see potential in you, and I believe you have what it takes to become a powerful member of this pack. You’ve already shown strength and resilience, whether you realise it or not. He leans forward, his minty beeath fanning against my face as my mouth grows dry.

The Alpha’s smile suddenly grows wide, and he leans in, pressing his lips gently against my forehead in a chaste kiss–butterfly’s erupting yet again from the gesture.
“Thank you, Rose. This means a lot to me, and I promise I’ll do everything in my power to give you an easy, happy life.” The Alpha states, as I sigh.

He takes a step back, his eyes searching mine for any sign of hesitation. When he sees none, he reaches for a small vial on his dresser, containing a red liquid.
This is my Alpha blood. When I mark you, it strengthen the bond between us. You can only take it after the mark is done, or it will make you sick. He explains, as 1 stare at the small jar in awe.

“Alpha I… I’m nervous… I admit, as he shakes his head and chuckles.

The Alpha sits on the edge of the bed, before I reach him and he tugs me down to sit beside him now. He shifts slightly to be facing me, his green growing honded as they scan over my facial features slowly…

eyes, enjoying the new experience, before he reaches a part of my neck that causes a gentle moon to escape my lips.
With that, he stays on that spot, sucking and nipping at the skin with his teeth as 1 wriggle beneath him unable to control the sounds that escape me.
