Chapter 21
Rose’s POV
I groan out loudly, rolling over in the bed to find an immense pain burning between my legs…..
“Rose… wake up…” 1 squint when hearing my new name being called out, as I peel my tired eyes apart slowly blinking a few times to adjust.
My eyes open to find Alpha Ashtons green orbs staring down at me, his dark hair completely messed up and his face holding a mischievous glint
“Morning…” He greets me, as I stretch out and grumble in pain again.
“I hurt!” I announce bluntly, feeling surprisingly comfortable around him today despite the fact that I currently lay naked beside him in his bed.
1 blush at the realisation, however remain thankful to be covered up by the sheets.
“I know… I’m sorry… but that was fucking incredible sex and you know it!” He states matter of factly, as I cover my face with my hands from the sheer embarrassment.
I was a different person last night… I blame the heat for my desperation and confidence with going through with all of that!
“Don’t be shy! You done good Rose! No more heat too so that’s a bonus…” Ashton adds, before his large hand moves to peel my own ones back from my face.

I all but gasp at his direct words, sheer confidence radiating off of him as he dares me to challenge him on it…!
I instantly pop my lip back out from between my teeth, as he chuckles and nods approvingly. “Good girl… although I would have loved another round.” He states, as I roll my eyes playfully.
“Did you seriously just roll your eyes at me?” He deadpans, causing me to gasp p in realisation.
I’m forgetting my place here… nobody rolls their eyes at an Alphat Never! It’s the height of disrespect.
“Al–Alpha I’m sorry… forgive me… I forgot my place for a moment… I didn’t mean to…” I decide to apologise instantly, hating the thought of offending him so soon after we had shared such an intimidate moment together.
He eyes me steadily for a moment, before shaking his head at my words….
Great now he’s pissed!
“Rose stop apologising… and stop fucking calling me Alpha… it was only a joke… as my new mate, you now technically have the right to roll your eyes at me whenever you please… I might just have to punish you in different ways now.” Ashton states, catching me off guard as my brows pull together.
“Punish me? But I don’t want to be punished at all!‘ I rant further, before seeing his lips pull up into another smirk.

He comments next, as I eye him oddly.

about punishing me for rolling my eyes and the next he’s calling me cute!
“I don’t mean giving you proper punishments Rose… maybe just a spank or ten… you do have a great ass for it after all…” Ashton laughs loudly, as my eyes widen at what he was intending.

“O–Oh……..” I manage, as he continues to chuckle and stare down at me with a new emotion buried behind his eyes.

Perhaps it was fate… we were both destined to go through heart ache in order to meet one another and make things better again….
“Anyway… how bad does it hurt?” Ashton questions, shuffling to sit up now, as he stretches and allows for me to watch his back muscles flex and tense

“Real bad… I’m scared to pee incase it burns too!” I find the thoughts escaping my lips, as I curse myself for being too graphic. Im grateful though to hear Ashtons laughter fill the room next.
“I’m going to run you a hot bath… it will help your body relax. He concludes, as he tosses the sheets aside – revealing his semi–erect, naked manhood below.
I cannot believe that I actually fitted that whole thing in… and how I managed it, I’ll never know….
“Th–Thank you!” I call to him, as he waves me off and saunters towards the bathroom fully embracing his naked physique.
This man from the moment I had met him, reeked of sheer dominance. He was seemingly unfazed by anyone, which explained his natural confidence.
I hear him turn on the water, as I decide that now would be my best chance to find some clothes..
I pull the sheets back, cringing slightly at my naked body which I wasn’t used to seeing first thing in the morning, before I swing my legs over the edge.
I hop down, spotting the towel from the previous night, as I find my feet and attempt to reach for it to cover up….
As I take a step, a sharp ache stabs at my core, which causes for my knees to buckle – betraying me as I find myself tumbling down with a loud shriek.
I hear Ashtons quick steps, as he rushes out of the bathroom to find me face first on his floor….
“Rose what the fuck happened?!” He states, moving towards me as I feel my cheeks explode with embarrassment.
“I don’t think that I can… walk today… I admit shyly, before feeling his large hands grip either side of my waist- lifting me up off the floor – a deep growl following shortly after.
I tense at the sound, despite having heard it from him many times now, but I still knew my place. He was the Alpha… despite our new not. If he’s unhappy, I’m best to stay alert…

“S–Sorry…” I find myself saying, unsure of what exactly I was apologising for, before I instantly move my hands in an attempt to cover as much of my bare skin as possible.
Ashton places me back on the edge of the bed, before stepping around to face me his arms now folded firmly across his chest.

Well if he says he likes what he sees… maybe he isn’t lying… maybe I don’t have to be embarrassed around him?
“As for the scars, I don’t think they make you ugly. As your mate however, I must know who done that to you and for what reason? Nobody will ever hurt you again. You shall tell me if they do, and I will fix it is that clear?!” He pushes, as I gulp now, nodding again.
“I–I… yes I understand… but Ashton?” I turn my head towards the bathroom door, as his gaze follows mine.
“You should turn off the water first… I tell him softly, before he sighs and storms his way towards the open door – the water shutting off moments later.
“The bath is ready, but before you get to go in there, you will tell me why you have those scars.” Ashton bargains as he renters the room.
What I would do to feel the hot water melt away the ache that currently lies between my legs… if I don’t tell him fast the water will get coldi.
“My old pack… they would um… punish anyone who stepped out of line… two years ago, they stopped feeding many of the maids and so I resorted to stealing food.” I explain, staring down at my feet as I talk, cringing at the memory.
Ashton remains silent, as I inhale a shaky breath before adding- “Long story short, I was caught one time, stealing some bread. They sent me to the Alpha and he whipped me for it himself. I’ve never stolen anything since.” I shrug, trying to hold back the emotions that once destroyed me.
That was probably one of the worst days of my life…..
“Can I go in the bath now?” I whisper, forcing myself to look up at Ashton who just stood before me dumbfounded.
“The Alpha himself? Whipped you for stealing food? But did you tell him that they weren’t feeding you?! He snaps out, before making a move towards me–reaching out for my hands,
“I did……. but he said if I worked harder then they would have fed me… he blamed me and said I was slacking in my chores.” I admit, before allowing Ashton to pull me to stand – my knees feeling shaky again.
“Bullshit!” Ashton grits out, his tone bitter, before he moves swiftly to lift me up.
I ignore the fact that I am naked again, since he seemed too distracted to care, as I allow for him to carry me towards the bathroom.
“Bullshit?” I repeat as a question, unsure of if he thought I had made the whole thing up or not.
With that, I top him and gesture to the toilet, silently asking to do a quick pee before getting in the tub as he places me down there. He turns his back, realising that I was embarrassed, before I waste no time before sitting on the seat.
