Will Ashton be happy about this? Or will he think it’s all happening far too soon? It was hard to tell… I knew that he wanted kids but he didn’t really specify when…
As if my panic couldn’t get any worse, the door is heard opening, revealing Ashton himself who enters with a closed over tray and a bag in his other hand.
I can’t even think of eating now, not after this!
“What the fucks happened now?! Ashton eyes us all, as we stand staring back at him like three thief’s being caught in the midst of stealing
“I’ll give you two some privacy.” The nurse cleverly excuses herself from the room, with Lydia giving my hand a soft squeeze of reassurance before she too stands to exit–forcing a smile up at him as she passes.
The door closes, trapping me in here with Ashton as the air around me seems to grow thick.

“What’s going on Rose?! Why is everyone acting jumpy around me?” Ashton hurts, making the first move to set up my dinner on a little table by my

I groan, trying to sit myself up a little more, as he shoots me a stare.
“Wait and I’ll help you!” He states firmly, as I sigh and close my eyes over, hating that he was currently oblivious to probably the biggest news of his life.

Ashton finishes setting up, before turning to place his palms under my arms – pulling me to sit up with care. I groan a little but it’s over before I know
“Sizzling chicken fajitas cooked up just for you!” Ashton reveals the food which looked dreamy and full of flavour, but I avert my gaze back up to him.
He searches my eyes for a brief moment, before placing the lid back down again, turning to fully face me with his arms folded over his chest.
“Something’s going on and I want to know what it is! Don’t waste my time either sweetheart Ashton watches me like a hawk ready to pounce on to its prey as I gulp and lick my drying lips.
“Its… it’s really big news… I don’t know if you’ll be happy about it?” I attempt to speak, my voice much quieter than I would have liked.
Ashton tilts his head, curiosity taking over as he remains silent and nods once for me to continue.

“When the n–nurse came in, she took my bloods… then she came back with the results right before you got here.” I explain carefully, giving him some
context.

“Are they bad? What did she find? She should have waited for me to get here! Did she land bad news on you? Il fucking kill her for that!” Ashton’s mind instantly goes to the worst case scenario in protection of me, as I shake my head and my eyes widen.
It wasn’t the poor nurses fault, she was doing the right thing woman to woman.

“No! No she didn’t do anything wrong! I can’t tell you what it is unless you calm down!” I bargain with him, as he listens to me and huff’s out a final sigh.

“That’s great news Rose, I was worried for a minute! Is that what it was? Did the nurse manage to resurface your wolf whilst I was away? Sometimes the drugs can block them out! I’m glad to see you happy again…” Ashton responds, seeming relieved as though that was the big news I had to tell him.
