Chapter 81
Rose’s POV
“Look at your little bump in that costume!” Lydia shrieks, clapping her hands as I g
giggle and
d wave her off–continuing to curl my hair with the tongs
Today we were attending the packs summer party – a civilised event for sociallising and sunbathing. Ashton gave me the invite, assuming that we probably wouldn’t be attending, but 1 decided to challenge myself by saying that I wanted to go.
It was only fair as Ashtons new mate to attempt to build connections within his pack – especially now that I was carrying his child.
The pack members were excited and curious about the news, so maybe this is the perfect chance to put myself out there some more.
Lydia of course was coming along with me, along with the usual crew being Hunt, Sawyer, Oliver and Huth who would also be attending with her family.
“So I’ve been thinking… and I’m going to tell Hunt yes today… Lydia suddenly blurts out, as 1 release the final curl from the wand and whip my head around to face her.
She laughs at my reaction, as my eyes light up with sheer excitement.
“You’re finally going to be his mate?! You took long enough to say it!” I tell her, switching off the hot device and placing it down on the cooling mat as we piggle together.

“I’ve decided why should 1 walt? After everything I went through in my past relationship, Ilunts a good guy and I don’t want to pods in final confirmation as I rush towards her and hug her tightly.
I was so proud of how far she had come with Hunt, and I couldn’t wait to see his reaction.
When the girl said she was taking her time to think it all through, she wasn’t lying, Poor Hunt had been left on the back burner for weeks as Lydia and I would debate for hours the ups and downs on whether or not she should be his mate or not with me of course trying to convince her to go for it.
“I’ll tell him when we get there, then we can both enjoy the day together!” Lydia looks excited when she talks about it, as my heart flutters at the thought of them creating an unbeatable connection.
With that, we quickly pack our bags with things we might need: the list including a hairbrush, deodorant, lip balm and sunscreen, as we prepare to head
out to the cars.
“Do I look ok in this or is it too much?” I question one last time before we go, referring to my outfit which consisted of a fuchsia pink swim suit and white floaty shorts on top paired with white sandals.
The bump was on display, but with the shorts on top it didn’t look too ridiculous… I was pregnant after all, so there wasn’t much I could do about my growing stomach so I figured I just had to embrace it!
“You look fabulous! A total yummy mummy!” Lydia exclaims, as my cheeks flare red and I laugh loudly at the compliment.
A yummy mummy… who would have ever thought I would be getting called such a thing?!
We head out, with my ankle strap on show but not too much with the Doctor thankfully matching it to my skin tone as best he could.
Anything was better than the chunky black hoot from before!
We approach the front door, stepping out in to the scorching sun to see the three guys waiting by the cars all dressed in their swim shorts.
Ashton looked good enough to cat; in his sage green swim shorts matching his eyes perfectly accompanied by his tan skin and muscle covered tattoos.
He turns to find us stepping outside, as I watch his hand reach up in to his mouth before a loud whistle comes next – showing his approval for how I
I blushed profusely, but felt grateful for his attempt to make me feel more confident when I had spent the whole moming curling my hair and doing the must perfect makeup that I could manage.
Lydia holds my hand as I step down each step with care, not wanting to put any extra
a pressure on my ankle, before we approach the car and climb
inside.
Sawyer takes the wheel, as Ashton climbs in back beside myself and Lydia – Hunt in the passenger side.

Chapter 81
“You are without a doubt the hottest baby Mom I’ve ever seen!” Ashton leans in to my car and states, as I mudge his side playfully and hush him.
I appreciate his silly compliments, especially on our way to such a big pack event..
We travel for around fifteen minutes, listening to Sawyers Sexy Summer Songs” playlist he had called it, as we laughed and enjoyed the happy vibe he had created in the car.
I was practically bursting for Lydia to break the news to Hunt that she had finally decided to become his mate, but I knew she would probably wait for a private moment between them once we get there.
Pulling up to the location, Ashton climbs out and helps me out beside him – taking my hand and leading me towards the front doors,
We were at a mansion like venue, one that the pack used as a common house for people to visit and hang out whenever they wanted to.
Walking inside, the place was beautiful, and each pack member we passed would offer us bright smiles or words of congratulations as we made our way out in to the back yard – large enough to land ten planes in night I add!
The place was huge, with two pools and many places to hang out including an outdoor bar and even a play park for the kids.
Ashtons pack continued to surprise me every day, as I explored more and more about life here and enjoyed engrossing myself in becoming a real member of the pack.
“This place is amazing!” I squeeze his hand and say, ignoring the number of stares we were getting–growing more used to it every time I was nut anywhere with Ashton
As the Alpha, he was p pretty much the local celebrity – adored and also feared by all. Of course they would be curious to know more about his new mate and unborn child, it made sense.
I couldn’t complain about it…
“What do you want to do first? Will we get settled over in a comfier spot? Oliver is over there and I’m guessing that those beds are for us” Ashton laughs, pointing across the grass towards Oliver who stood amongst a number of couch loungers before he suddenly spots us and waves us over.
We make a move towards him; with Hunt, Sawyer and Lydia following in behind us as Ashton continues to acknowledge everyone politely in passing as I smile here and there too.

1!” Oliver states loudly, moving to hug me in a friendly manner as I laugh at his comment.
Ashton wars playfully from beside me, earning an eye roll from Oliver before he moves to greet Lydia next.
We settle our stuff down, enjoying a brief catch up with Oliver before I begin to notice Lydia becoming antsy.
“Ok so uh… Hunt, do you want to come grab some drinks with me?” Lydia turns and questions, as Hunt looks caught off guard at first but nods and stands from his position nonetheless.
My heart flutters watching them walk off together, hoping that this would be it for them… pure happiness together!
“There’s some guys over there I need to go speak to, mind–link me if you need anything ok? Will you be ok here alone?” Ashton tells me, pointing to the set group that he was talking about as I nod and smile knowing that he wouldn’t be far,
Kissing my head quickly, I watch him walk towards them with Sawyer and Oliver following behind him, as the others take notice and greet them warmly. They were clearly other friends of Ashtons, with them hugging and laughing together.
I curse suddenly, feeling the growing pressure on my bladder with the baby quickly telling me that I need to go pee… and fast!
Crap!
Not wanting to be too needy, I decide that I can take myself to the bathroom and back without telling Ashton.

I stand, feeling the familiar pain pulsing in my lower back that also seems to come and go as a perk of my pregnancy, as I ignore it and begin my wal towards the large building
Ashton seems to catch sight of me as I walk, but I just glance towards him and smile reassuringly…
“What you doing? I hear his voice instantly enter my thoughts as I laugh to myself.
Chapter 81
“Need to pee.” I respond, before disappearing in to the house, finding the first staff member nearby for directions.
She points me around a comer, as I thank her and quickly shuffle my way towards the door – entering and locking it as quickly as possible.
The pee itself felt like the best pee 1 had ever done, as I hated how sudden they would come on: most of the times causing for me to barely make it
there on time!
I finish up, washing my hands and quickly checking myself over in the mirror, before moving to exit only to collide with a large male holding a tray of beers in his arms on my exit.
Oh no!
He stumbles backwards, with all of the drinks spilling all over him, as I gasp loudly and slap my hands over my mouth in shock at what I had caused
“Oh my! I am so so sorry!” I shriek in panic, feeling instantly guilty, as I watch the man’s features shift as he takes in his ruined drinks and soaked outfit.
“You stupid bitch! Do you know who I am?!” The male bellows loudly, before quickly moving to shove me backwards in to the bathroom with one hand – causing me to tumble and fall into the sink before landing hard on the floor.
I scream, stunned at what had just happened as my mind raced to catch up with the ordeal, as I stared up at the furious man towering over the door.
I instantly clutched my stomach, fearful of the harsh impact that the sink had just taken when hitting me in my side, as my eyes tear up.
“DON’T FUCKING TOUCH HER!”
Ashton… he will help me out of this…
