He paused and looked up at me when he
heard this.
There was a hint of guilt in his eyes.
“You want to divorce me over such a small matter?”
I said firmly, “I’ve come to terms with it. Being your wife has made me so lonely. I don’t want it anymore.”
Matt’s face suddenly turned dark, and he gritted his teeth, “You want it, so you have to get it. You don’t want it, so you just quit? Do you think there’s something so simple in this world? Let me tell you, I will never get a divorce!”
Saying that, he ignored me and walked out.
I stared at him in astonishment.
