“Okay, I understand. I’m tired. I’m going to bed.“]
Xavier looked surprised at my calm response.
But then he got angry.
“Ariella! I’m sincerely apologizing and asking for your forgiveness. Is this how you respond?”
“Are you ignoring my sincerity? Or do you have other ideas?“]
This was his true nature. He couldn’t stand me defying him.[]
To him, showing me softness was a huge favor.
And I dared not to appreciate it?
I looked at him coldly.
“Yes, let’s break up.”
“What did you say? Say that again!“]]
Xavier’s chest heaved, his eyes glaring at me.]
His cold gaze felt like a sharp sword trying to pierce me.]
“I said, let’s break up.“[]
“No! I don’t agree! You can’t just break up with me!”
“You’re dreaming! As long as I don’t agree, you can’t leave me!“]
Xavier tore off his apron and lunged at me like a madman.]
He tried to force himself on me, and my anger exploded.[]
In the struggle, I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face.
Even I was surprised by my strength.
Xavier was stunned, his actions coming to a halt.]
His face quickly swelled with a visible red mark.]
That slap seemed to wake him up.
Fortunately, he still had some humanity left, glaring at me before storming out.[]
I didn’t care where he went. I just collapsed on the couch, exhausted.[]
