Meanwhile, at Villa number fourteen at the Clear Water Bay, after a moment of passion, Eric, bare–chested, lit a cigarette.
Christina, with eyes full of mischievousness, run her exquisite manicure nail along the contours of Eric’s abs lazily.
Eric immediately grabbed her wrist and hissed with a hoarse voice, “Stop fooling around! I’ve already notified the public that the launch will be delayed for three hours, I’ll get angry if you make any more trouble.”
Christina, unfazed by his treat, pouted coquettishly. “You‘ re already here. Why not just skip it entirely? It’s just a launching

event. You own the entire Gordon Group. It’ll not be a problem to reschedule it.”
The smile on Eric’s face vanished instantly. He got up swiftly, dressed himself and looked down at the spoiled starlet he had indulged for so long.
“Christina,” he said coldly, “I’ve warned you before … don‘ t test my limits! I can make you the top star of the industry, but I can also make you lose everything.”
Christina had never seen this side of Eric, being fierce and vicious, before. She pouted, buried her face in the bed and burst into
tears.
Seeing her like this, made Eric’s heart softened. He ruffled her head like she was a

puppy. He made a promise, “As long as you don’t go too far, I promise you and the baby will have everything you could ever need.”
“You were mean to me just now,” complained Christina in a pitiful voice. Then with her hand covering her bump, she whined, “You scared the baby.”
Eric chuckled and patted her belly. “Don’t worry. My kid wouldn’t be so easily frightened.”
With that, he stopped flirting with Christina. After all, the most important thing today was the launching event of a new product that was named after Wanda.
He had already sent a driver to pick her up, so he decided to drive himself to the company

headquarters. However, as he looked at his phone, waiting for her to reply to his
message, a sense of unease entered his heart. It had been a long time since he sent his message and she had not answered yet.
In the end, he decided to call Wanda. The endless female mechanical voice only deepened his sense of foreboding.
Eric tried to suppress his uneasiness and reassure himself that Wanda must have been angry at him for not picking her himself. Yet, he was sure that once he unveiled to the
world his surprise, she would surely forgive
him.
By now, she should already be in the car and maybe he had put her phone on “Do Not

Disturb” mode, which was why she hadn’t replied.
When this thought entered his mind, Eric suddenly could not wait to see Wanda and present the gift to her.
When he checked at the time, he realized he had wasted too much time getting cozy with Christina. As a result, he only had thirty
minutes left.
So, he pressed down the gas pedal and sped through countless red lights. However, as he approached a sharp turn, the steering wheel seemed to be out of his control and the car
drove in a completely different direction.
