Chapter 3
The other parents cracked up.
Brayden’s mom glanced at my car with a
sneer:
“Driving an old clunker and claiming you’re
the Sterling matriarch? Have you lost your
mind?”
“I’m the Sterling brother’s wife, you think I
wouldn’t recognize the real deal?”
The parents fixated on my car and sneered:
“I wouldn’t be caught dead in that thing!”
“You can tell what a bum she is just by
looking at that ride. No wonder her daughter

“Why do these broke losers try so hard to get
into the fancy places. Do they enjoy being
humiliated?”
Yeah, my car was an older Lincoln
Continental.
But those Lincolns were tanks.
Plus, I liked the classic look.
Clearly, they thought it was a sign of poverty.
“You’ll regret messing with the Sterling
name!”
Before I could respond, Brayden’s mom
picked up a brick and went to town on my
car.
G
Windows, headlights, hood – nothing was
safe.
The other parents joined in, grabbing
whatever they could find.
After smashing a window, they crawled inside
and tore up the seats.
My once clean car was now a heap of junk.
“Look, she’s got goodies in the trunk!”
Brayden’s mom grabbed a painting, “A broke
trash claiming to be an art collector?
Pretentious much?”
She tore the art into shreds in front of my
face.
Those pieces were things I just picked up at
an auction.
I warned, “Those are valuable. I hope you’re
ready to pay up.”
Brayden’s mom scoffed,
“Like you could afford anything real? I spend
more than that on my coffee!”
“Besides, the Sterlings have connections
everywhere. No court in the country is making
me pay for anything!”
She continued to smash the other antiques.
Led by her, the other parents went wild.
Seeing their insanity, I grabbed my phone:
“Where are you? You have three minutes.”
Before the person on the other end could
respond, someone smashed my phone on the
pavement:
“Trying to call for backup? Who do you think
you are?”
“Practicing your Oscar speech? You think you
are someone?!”
“She’s probably calling other bobos to come

help, LOL!”
The parents laughed.
I gave up on them and focused on getting my
daughter.
I ignored them and headed toward the school.
The headmaster came out, blocking my path,
sneering:
“This academy is too good for scum like
you!”
I said, “I want my daughter!”
“She’s expelled, a teacher is brining her out
right now”
Just then, Ashley and her backpack were
tossed from the door.
She hit the ground hard, crying.
く
I ran to her, helping her up, glaring at the
headmaster:
“This is how you treat students?”
The headmaster sneered:
“A waste brought into this world by a
penniless trash doesn’t deserve to be here”
“I threw out trash. So what?”
