Chapter 8
Josh kneeling and apologizing stunned.
everyone.
Everyone was frozen.
Brayden’s mom was speechless. “What’s happening?”
“Why is he calling her Ms. Sterling?”
“I don’t understand!”
The parents grilled Brayden’s mom.
She went white, snapping out of it, she
screamed at Josh:
“Josh, what is this? You are a Sterling! Why
are you groveling to her?”
“I thought the Sterling name protected us!”
“What are you doing?!”
She grabbed his arm, shaking him.
Josh yanked away, snarling: “Shut up!”
“You’re wrecking my life!”
Brayden’s mom looked lost.
Josh ignored her. He knelt, pleading:
“Ms. Sterling, please. Forgive me.
Josh was begging.
وو
I looked down at him. “You knew Brad.”
“He helped you out.”
“He said you reminded him of himself.”
“Like a speck of dust.”
“Like a seed.”
“He knew you wanted more. He did
everything he could to help you.”
“I tried to help you out, so you can be good
like him.”
“And you took it and pretended to be my
brother, tricked someone into marrying you!
You let your wife bully people.”
“I am disappointed.”
وو
It all made sense.
Josh was pretending to be my brother.
For years, Josh was playing the victim.
Meanwhile, he was using me.
く
I helped this wolf in sheep’s clothing.
“Ms. Sterling, I messed up! I promise, it won’t
happen again!”
“Help me out! Don’t cut me off!”
Josh grabbed me, pleading.
He was scared of losing his life.
I pulled away. “You’re disgusting.”
I said to the police, “I know that Josh has
been stealing money for years.
“He is moving assets, avoiding taxes.”
“Here’s the proof.”
“I’m not settling. Throw the book at him.”
The police took the files. “Got it.”
I left.
Josh was arrested.
Brayden’s mom and the other parents were
sent to jail.

Years later, I was doing charity work.
I saw two homeless people begging.
They each had a bowl.
The man asked for money as if he was
commanding the people.
The woman helped him and harassed those
who didn’t pay up.
VILM
They got some money, and a lot of beatings.
The assistant asked, “Should we help them?”
I shook my head. “They’re not worth it.”
