Chapter 6
I asked, “Should I call you my husband or my sister’s boyfriend?”
The moment the words left my mouth, Logan’s face turned as pale as a sheet. “What… what are you talking about?”
I smirked coldly. “Not going to admit it, huh? Then take a look at these.”
I signaled to my assistant, who immediately began distributing stacks of photos, each showing Logan and Nora in intimate poses.
“I always thought we were soulmates, but it turns out every trait you showed me, every word you said, was carefully planned. At first, you were actually my sister’s boyfriend.
“You two set everything up, waiting for me to fall into your trap and drain me dry of my wealth. The body lying on the ground isn’t my husband Logan–it’s his twin brother, Caleb Parker.”
I glanced at the body and continued, “After being abandoned, you two were adopted by different families, but two years ago, by coincidence, you reconnected. Then, you came up with an even more sinister plan to kill me.
“Once I was out of the picture, Nora would inherit my fortune, and you’d change your identity and be with her. Since you two are identical twins, nobody would be able to tell as long as you keep things in check.
“You planned it all perfectly, but fate had other plans, and my assistant managed to stop you before you could board the plane.

Now, I can prove my innocence.”
“Caleb’s death wasn’t a suicide or an accident–it was murder, and you, my father, and my sister are all complicit,” I declared.
Logan’s eyes burned with fury. He gritted his teeth as if he wanted to rip me apart.
“You knew this all along, didn’t you? How can you be so heartless? We were together for years, and you just stood by and watched me die. You’re terrifying.”
I stared him down, letting the anger I had kept in check spill out for the first time.
“Yes, we were together for years, but it was all a lie. While I was planning our future, you were scheming with others to take everything from me and end my life.
“If you had hesitated even for a second, we wouldn’t be here. Now, it’s time for you to pay the price.”
In my past life, I hadn’t done anything wrong. I’d even blamed myself for Logan’s death, thinking I didn’t care enough about him to notice he was struggling.
I genuinely loved them all, but in the end, I was betrayed and killed by the three people I trusted most.
Since they had no compassion for me, why should I show any mercy?
Logan’s eyes were wild with rage. “You could have saved Caleb, but you chose to do nothing. Don’t you fear retribution?”

I rolled my eyes, uninterested. “Nora lured him here. You were the one who killed him. If anyone should fear retribution, it’s you, not
me.”

“Such a malicious plan. If Andrea hadn’t figured it out, she would’ve been blamed for everything.”
“Yeah, the worst part is, they killed him and then tried to pin it
on her. If Andrea hadn’t been so sharp, she would’ve been their scapegoat.”
“That’s just pure evil. Not long ago, they were shouting for Andrea to pay with her life. Turns out they’re the ones who deserve to die, not her. Andrea’s the real victim here.”
The public’s anger shifted. They no longer called for my blood but turned their wrath on my father and Nora.
Realizing he had no way out, my father dropped to his knees, begging for mercy.
“Andrea, I was wrong. It was all Logan’s idea. He made us do it. Please, save me. I don’t want to go to jail. And Nora–she’s innocent. Please, save her, too.”
I crouched down to look him in the eye and gently patted his cheek, not with tenderness but with the kind of mockery that could slice through anyone.
“Father, is Nora really my sister? You’ve lied for so long. I’m starting to wonder if you’ve even convinced yourself. Or do you think no one knows what happened all those years ago except you?”

My words struck him like a lightning bolt. He froze, panic spreading across his face.
“What are you saying? You two are fraternal twins. It’s normal for you to look different. Just because you resemble your mother and Nora looks like me, you can’t deny she’s your sister.”
He tried to explain, but no one in the room believed him.
“What does that mean? Is there more to this?”
“Come on, tell us the truth! What else is there we don’t know?”
I had my assistant send the gathered evidence to the crowd. Then, I gave my father a cold smile.
“Back then, you had an affair behind Mom’s back. The mistress came to us, pregnant, demanding Mom leave you. The stress caused her to give birth to me early and die after the delivery.
“If it hadn’t been for my grandparents leaving a backup plan, the company would’ve been long gone,” I spoke.
“Unable to handle the company, you brought Nora back and raised her with me, claiming we were twins. You fired all the staff who knew the truth, so no one ever questioned Nora’s identity.”
I sneered, “You even named Nora after your mistress, and all these years, you never remarried–not because you couldn’t move on from Mom, but because you’ve been with that woman the whole time.
“You betrayed Mom, conspired with outsiders to steal her estate, and almost killed me in the process. How dare you ask me to let you off

My father was speechless.
But I knew the truth–he would never have spared me.
He’d always resented me for not dying sooner. He wanted the family business, and with his mistress by his side, he could finally have it
all.
After all, in my past life, that was exactly what he did.
“Do you regret killing my mom all these years?”
“She deserved it,” my father snapped, his face contorted with anger.
“Who did she think she was, looking down on me? And those two old fools… I spent all these years at your house, playing the obedient son–in–law. I did everything–kept my head low, practically kissed
their feet.”
He gritted his teeth. “And what did they do? They wouldn’t trust me with the company. They handed it over to outsiders. They wouldn’t let me have any part in it. So, what was I supposed to do? I had to take control myself.”
My father’s words were full of arrogance and entitlement as if everything that went wrong was someone else’s fault. In his eyes, he was blameless.
“I’ve never seen anyone so shameless.” A voice from the crowd broke

“This guy is an actor. If it weren’t for today, everyone would still be fooled.”
“He’s worse than a villain in a soap opera. Ladies, be careful who you marry. Don’t fall for this kind of man.”
“History has a way of catching up to losers like him. Good riddance, you useless man.”
The crowd was outraged, their words cutting through the
tension.
My father, his face twisted in rage, lunged at me. “You bitch, you should’ve died already.”
Before anyone could react, a man from the crowd surged forward, brandishing a butcher’s knife. Without hesitation, he swung it at my father, slashing wildly.
The attack happened so fast that it was a blur. By the time we processed what had just occurred, my father was already lying. in a pool of blood.
The man didn’t flee. Instead, he dropped the knife and allowed the police to arrest him.
I recognized him immediately. Even if his face turned to dust, I’d know him anywhere. He was the same man from my past life
the one who had murdered me in the street for all to see.
But this time, the one who paid the price wasn’t me.
My father was rushed to the hospital while we were taken to the police station to give our statements.

Logan was sentenced to life for premeditated murder. As for my father and Nora, though they didn’t directly kill anyone, their involvement landed them prison time–my father got fifteen years, and Nora ten.
The day the verdict was announced, my father had just been released from the hospital.
The very next moment, he was sent straight to prison.
Three months later, I got a request from the prison. Logan wanted to see me, and they asked if I’d be willing to meet.
I thought he’d apologize.
But when we sat down, I realized how wrong I was.
Logan wasn’t the type to own up to anything. He wasn’t sorry- he was just pissed his plan hadn’t worked out. He didn’t blame himself for Caleb’s death. No, he blamed me for uncovering the
plot too soon.
The meeting wasn’t about reconciliation. Logan was trying to plant a seed of doubt in my mind, hoping I’d believe I was responsible for Caleb’s death and that I’d carry that guilt with me forever.
But why should I feel guilty? I wasn’t the one who killed him.

He’d just lost in the game, and if he’d won, it would’ve been Logan lying there and Caleb marrying Nora to take my family’s fortune.
Why should I feel bad for not saving someone like him?
As I left the prison, I exhaled deeply, feeling the weight lift off my shoulders.
Everyone who had wronged me had paid the price. And now, all that awaited me was a bright, new future.
