Chapter 228
Noelle didn’t drink a lot today, but the dizziness she felt was just too familiar. Moreover, there was nobody left in
the room.
She immediately looked at Hendrix as she gritted her teeth and said, “Hendrix, how dare you use such despicable methods on me?”
Her eyes turned red, and she clenched her fists. Furious and in disbelief, her arms and entire body were shaking.
Hendrix also frowned, but he quickly reacted and said, “It’s not me.”

Judging by Hendrix’s attitude tonight, he didn’t seem entirely committed to cooperating with them, yet Julio had acted so confident earlier. So, this was Julio’s plan all along–to offer her as a “gift” to Hendrix tonight.
However, as this thought crossed her mind, Noelle quickly calmed down.
She didn’t argue with Hendrix further. Instead, she turned to leave. After all, she had no idea what Julio might have spiked her drink with, and she had no intention of getting further entangled with Hendrix because of it.
But just as Noelle took a few steps forward, Hendrix suddenly closed the distance and scooped her up entirely in his arms.
This startled Noelle, and she instinctively began to struggle, her hands and feet flailing as she shouted, “Put me down! I can walk by myself!”
Hendrix didn’t respond, nor did he slow his steps.
At the same time, Noelle also felt that something was wrong with her body–she wasn’t just dizzy. The feeling was the same as what she had experienced before.
She cursed Julio in her heart countless times but still tried to remain rational as she took out her phone. She wanted to call Dylan, but Hendrix snatched her phone away
Because of the drugs, Noelle’s actions and thoughts were a little slower than usual. After a few seconds, realized what Hendrix had done.
“What are you doing? Give me back my phone!”
“Why? To inform your boyfriend? What can he do?” Hendrix chuckled lightly.
Noelle widened her eyes and slowly looked at him. “What do you mean?”
Hendrix did not answer her and just placed her in the car.
“Head to Paville Hotel,” he said to the driver.

Hendrix quickly pressed her back onto the seat.
“What are you trying to do? You’ve gone mad, Hendrix!” Noelle shouted, “Do you know what you’re doing?”
“Yeah,” he answered ever so calmly, which scared Noelle.
Soon, she found it ridiculous. “Impossible… Hendrix, do you know Julio is scheming on you? Also, I have a boyfriend!”
“So what?” Hendrix remained calm.
Noelle was stunned.
It seemed Hendrix sensed her agitation: He quickly lowered his gaze to her and smiled faintly. “Since Mr. Garcia went to such great lengths to send me a gift, it would be impolite for me to refuse.”
His words jolted Noelle back to her senses, but disbelief still filled her eyes. “Are you insane, Hendrix? Put me down! I have a boyfriend! You—”
Before she could finish, Hendrix grabbed her chin firmly.
“Noelle,” he said, his voice low and chilling. “I suggest you stop mentioning that boyfriend of yours. I might not be able to control myself and kill him.”
