“Okay, so we visited Dr. Novak on the 4th of January, and she told me I was 12 weeks pregnant,” I mumble to myself. scratching my chin while using the full capacity of my little brale “That means I have been pregnant since the 12th of October, and our due date is in July.” I say, looking up from the pregnancy calculator on my phone. “But since we are expecting twins. I might have to get a c–section….”
Caleb nods, brow furrowing in concentration as he thinks that over. “July, now that’s coming up quickly. Are you nervous about the possibility of a c–section?
I bite my lip, setting my phone aside on the coffee table before getting comfortable on the couch again. “A little,” I admit and make a face. “I mean, the operation itself doesn’t scare me. I’ve heard you feel nothing after they have put in the epidural, but there are women out there claiming you’re less of a woman for not having given birth the natural way.
“Fuck those women,” Caleb says. “Giving birth is hard, period. And after our babies are here, nobody is going to care how they got out. It doesn’t make you a better mother to give birth vaginally.”
I smile up at him. “That’s true…” Suddenly, my face falls. “Wait, if I’m pregnant and this huge now, then I’m going to be gigantic at our wedding this summer!”
Caleb laughs and comes over, plopping down beside me on the couch. It’s humiliating because the thing doesn’t even sink where he’s sitting since I am already heavier than a beached whale. Caleb seems not to mind a whit, throwing his arm over my shoulders and cuddling me close.
“Leah, you could be the size of a house and still be the most beautiful bride in the world to me.”
I snort, and because I have absolutely no self–control when it comes to Caleb, I lean my head against his pectoral muscle. It’s the perfect pillow, really, and with a smile on my face, I take in his heavenly expensive cologne. I’m in gorgeous man heaven, but when Caleb gives me a knowing smile, I sit up straighter and return to our conversation.
“Easy for you to say since you’re not the one who’s going to be the size of a house. Men have it easy.”
“Aww, but even if you’re plump at our wedding, you’re still going to be cute, maybe even cuter,” he teases, earning himself a light smack on the arm.
He chuckles. “What? You didn’t like the compliment?”
“No,” I pout. “No woman appreciates a man calling them fat.”
“I didn’t call you fat. I just said you will become plump.”
Since he isn’t wrong, I just pout. Caleb rolls his eyes at that and bugs me tighter to him. “Honey, I’m sorry if theyord ‘plump‘ upset you, but I’m not going to lie about what’s going to happen. You’re carrying twins for crying out loud. But don’t worry.”
“That means I’m going to end up getting fatter…”
Caleb sighs. “Leah, listen to me because I mean this: no matter how big you get, you’re still going to be the most beautiful woman in the world to me.”

I pause for a second and then whisper, “Really?”
“Yes”
How can he sound so sincere? 1 stare at him in wonder, and Cale smiles. “Have I told you how badly I want time to pass so I can finally call you my wife?”
Oh my god, how could I stay mad at him when he is sweet?
My heart melts with his sweet words, and I lift my head to look directly into his blue eyes. “You always know just what to say to make me feel better.” I press a soft kiss to his lips, desperately ghting the urge to bite it to turn this moment heated. It’s hard, but I manage to fight back my horny hormones and focus on the romance to say, “I love you, Caleb Steele. Penguin waddle and all.
He grins. “I love Leah Foster. Soon to be Leah Steele.”

“To change your last name, you
mean?”
“Yeah, I’m probably going to wind up writing my old name on important papers and stuff for a long while.”
Caleb chuckles. “Maybe, but it’s worth it. I really want you and our children to have my last name.”
“Me too.”
We share a few more kisses and hugs on the couch until Caleb abruptly gets up from his seat with a stressed expression. “Shit, I can’t believe I almost fell asleep when we have such a busday ahead of us!”
My eyes widen. “Busy day?” The heck is he talking about?
“Yeah,” he blinks down at me. “Tomorrow is your birthday.”
I snort. “No, it isn’t-”
“It is,” Caleb cuts in, his voice grumpy, his pout on otherwise beautiful lips. “We did nothing on your 19th birthday since you didn’t tell me about it, which means we are going to celebrate you properly today. I’m taking you shopping. Everything will be paid for by my card, and we ain’t going home until you’ve been spoiled rotten.”
I stare at Caleb in shock. “Wait, what? You want to take me shopping for my birthday?
Caleb nods, his face resolute. “Absolutely. You deserve to be spoiled, Leah. Especially since we missed celebrating your actual birthday.”
“But Caleb, I don’t need a big fuss made over me. Besides, we will go wedding shopping soon–I can get something nice for myself then.”
“That’s not the same thing.” Caleb says, getting up from the couch and extending an arm out to me. “The day we go shopping for our wedding will be about us, but today will be about you. So come on, let me spoil you.”
Even though Caleb and I have been together for a while now, his offer still makes me blush because I suddenly feel like Vivian from Pretty Woman.
I give Caleb my hand and let him pull me from the couch. “Alright, fine. I will let you spoil me.”

Caleb suniles smigly. “I promise I will make you feel like a queen-
He’s not kidding about the queen part. Caleb whisks me from store to store, encouraging me to try on anything that catches my eye. Designer dresses, shoes, handbags–nothing is off limits
“You look beautiful,” he tells me as I twirl in the flowy maternity dress that I feel pretty and feminine, considering my growing stomach. “We’re definitely getting that one,”
1 glance down at the price tag by chance, and my eyes almost bug out of my head. “Caleb, remember when I lived with Jeremy? Well, his rent was lower than the price tag!”
Caleb doesn’t give a flipping pancake of a fuck and just waves his hand dismissively. “So? Like I said, today is all about spoiling you. Price isn’t an issue.“
Oh, well…I guess this is the perks of dating a billionaire, but can really use his money?
I bite my lip, still feeling a bit guilty about the extravagance, but Caleb’s enthusiasm is infectious. “Okay,” I hear myself say. too in love with the dress to say no to Caleb buying it for me. “I want it. Is that okay?”
Caleb beams at me. “Of course, it’s okay, Leah. Whatever your heart wants, it shall have today.”

“You have, but I don’t mind hearing it again.”
Laugh when Caleb smirks at me, and before I know it, I’m pulled into a hug by my sweet billionaire bear. He kisses my forehead and only looks up when the attentive sales associate pops up.
“We’ll take this dress and the other outfits she tried on, too,” he says. “Can you pack them up?”
The woman nods and hurries away to wrap up my choices. I lean into Caleb’s hug,
“Thank you. This is the best birthday already.”
“The day isn’t over yet. I have another surprise for you.”
True to his word, I’m taken to a spa after we are done shopping.
“I thought you needed pampering,” he says while we are standing by the reception desk.
“I’m not complaining,” my eyes dart around the place that looks like a total escape from reality.
I’ve never been at a fancy spa before and blush when a gorgeous woman bows at us before leading us to a private couples” suite, where two massage tables await us.
“This place is fantastic,” I tell Caleb as I slip into the soft robe provided.
Caleb smiles. “Only the best for my birthday girl.”
We settle onto our respective tables, and soon, there’s a light knock at the door. “Come in,” Caleb calls out.
Two women enter, both in the spa’s uniform of neat black pants and tops. The first is a petite Asian woman with a kind smile, But the second…

the look she shoots Caleb is far too familiar for my liking.
“Caleb, darling, so good to see you again,” she practically purrs like a cat in heat.
Caleb either doesn’t realize she is giving him heart–eyes, or he ignoring it. “Ah, Tillany. I didn’t realize you were still working here.”
Tiffany smirks, running a perfectly manicured nail along Caleb nuscular arm. “Of course I am, darling. I wouldn’t want to pass up the chance to meet you here again.”
The hair on the back of my neck rises at her blatant flirting. I need to put a stop to it and loudly clear my throat.
Tiffany’s cat–like eyes move to mine. “And who might you be?” she asks, and I swear her mood turns more sour when she sees my pregnant belly.
And wait, is that…disgust on her face?
Anger swells inside my chest. I want to smack Tiffany so badly for giving me her worst bitch look, but before I can even open my mouth to give her a piece of my mind, Caleb sits up and brushes off Tiffany’s hand.
“Tiffany, this is Leah, my fiancée and the mother of my children, Leah, Tiffany is an old acquaintance.”
That definitely means they had sex.
Tiffany arches a perfectly sculpted brow. “Fiancée? My, my, Caleb. I never pegged you for the settling–down type.”
What the actual fuck? It’s literally been three seconds, and this woman is already a problem!
