A year later, my first movie based on my book
was getting ready to start filming.
Liam would play the lead.
The soundtrack was the first to blow up.
“Confession Letter,” the movie’s theme, written
by Liam, went viral that summer.
Everyone knew that Liam had written it for the
girl he had a crush on when he was eighteen.
People were asking how they forget someone.
The top comment said, “It’s not the looks or the
voice, it’s the negative traits.”
“But I only remember the good things,” Liam
said, smiling.
So when he was eighteen, he wrote that song.
<
I remember the way you looked when you were
writing, the words on your paper were beautiful.
I remember you sleeping at your desk, the
sound of your breath was louder than my
heartbeat.
I remember your hair when you ran on the field.
I guess that’s what a crush is like.
I remember everything about you. I was with
you for every step of your youth.
But then I was forced to watch you from afar,
as you wished me all the best.
My first book adaptation blew up because of
that song.
Everyone knew that the writer was the girl that
Liam had a crush on.
<
At the wrap party, fans said that Liam was
going up in the world.
Liam said, “It was my dream to reach that
high.”
I laughed.
“Hey, rich author, or maybe, famous author.”
Liam smiled, grabbed a ring, and got down on
one knee.
“Will you give me a chance?”
I cried. I put my hand in his.
“We’ll see.”
Just kidding.
I had been waiting for this since I saw that love
letter.

Bonus: Sam
The day Liam won the Oscar, the happiest
person was Kai.
“I knew you had a good eye!”
He ran into Sam’s office, practically bowing.
“When you told me to sign him, I didn’t like him
at all. But I was wrong. I almost missed him.”
Sam put down his stuff and chuckled.
“Our sister’s pretty good at writing, too. She has a gift.”
Then Kai had an idea.
“I remember, when you were in high school, you
wanted to be a writer, right?”
Sam: “…”
11
“Then you said you were gonna be a rock star
because people said you were handsome.”
Sam: “…”

“Wow, life is weird! How did you end up being a
CEO?”
Sam sighed.
“You know how it was at home,” Sam said.
“I wasn’t able to.”
His family only had one heir. His mother raised
him, so he didn’t have a lot of freedom.
He wanted to be a rock star, but then his
mother and grandmother gave him all the love
and support he needed.
<
He had a good life until his parents broke up
and then he met his sister. He realized that he
had to grow up.
“You know, if it was anyone else, they would
not have been so accepting of their half-
sibling. But you’re different,” Kai said.
“It wasn’t their fault,” Sam said.
He was raised by two amazing women. He knew
how hard it was to be a woman.
Even a legendary woman like his grandmother
always had her love life discussed.
He didn’t want his sister to have to deal with
that.
When his grandmother died, his family started
to crumble, so he pulled her out of school to
keep her safe.

Then, when he found out that she wanted to be
an author, he fully supported her.
After all, he only had one sister.
“Hey, so what did you talk about when you met
with Liam?”
Sam paused and laughed.
“What did I say?”
“I told him, Ginny is the only girl in the family
and that the family would give her an expensive
dowry.”
“What did he say? Did you say he had to do the
same?”
Kai was already doing math, trying to figure out
how much money Liam had.
But Sam just chuckled.
“No, I told him that he had to marry into the
family.”
“What?” Kai was shocked.
“He said yes right away.”
He was totally whipped.
