The day that they finished shooting the movie, I
finished my book.
My book exploded online.
My editor told me that a bunch of people
wanted the rights and she was looking through
them all.
I went to the wrap party with Liam.
Kai was there too.
And my brother showed up with him.
As soon as I saw Sam, I stopped smiling. I said,
“Hey, Sam.”
“Yeah,” Sam said. Then he looked at Liam and
frowned.
Liam got tense.
“Mr. Sam, it’s an honor to meet you, I’m Liam.”
“Yeah,” Sam said.

My brother was usually pretty cold.
Six years ago, when he came to my house, it
was pretty much the same thing.
I was about to go out on that day when I got a
knock on the door. When I opened it, there was Sam and his security guard. I was so surprised.
“Uh, who are you looking for?”
“Hey, what’s going on?” My mom said as she
came out of the kitchen. She saw Sam and
seemed shocked.
“Hi, I’m Sam,” he said.
He scanned the room, and looked at my mom.
“My grandmother is very sick, and she wants to
meet you and your daughter.”
My mom went pale.
She nodded. “Okay, give me a minute.”
So instead of meeting up with my friend, I was
on my way to my grandmother’s house. That
was when my older brother told me I was a
princess.
Not the kind of princess I dreamed of.
My dad was the son of a super–rich family, and
I was a product of his affair.
I was a secret.
My real father hid his identity from my mom.
She wanted to get married, but then found out
that he was already married.
The rich family would have made it impossible
for my mom, so she chose to have me alone.
A boring and stupid story. My so–called father
was gone.
When I got to my grandmother’s house, I
realized I didn’t have my phone.
It was so warm inside, but I felt so cold.
