He was so fast that he salvate my bone from Been shattered as the case with the glass
cup.
“Are you okay?”
My eyes went straight into his as I opened them, his eyes were full with care and emotions which I had never seen.
My eyes began to well up with emotions, I got carried away.
“Hey! Are you good?” He asked tapping my checks.
“Ye…yea I’m good,” I stuttered taking myself off his hands.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes I’m sure, and all thanks to you” I said, letting out a smile.
“It was Alexis’s fault, she spilled water on the floor and left without cleaning it,” he explained as a kid who is about to be punished for a crime he didn’t commit would narrate the crime scene to his mum to save him from the punishment.
Overwhelmed by his sudden change, out of the blues he is cool with my no, he show care like never before, the strong as rock almighty Mr Blackwell I as soft as water.
Wow!
I remember how brutal, mean and crude he was to me when I first got employed, he has embarrassed me times without numbers over some silly mistakes, a times he gets brutal when i get things right, only a very crude,mean and devil’s companion can do that.
I have lost records the number of times he poured water on me over zero faults, i got series of insult from him over his own mistakes, i have come to getting used to taking responsibility for his mistakes.
My early days at he Blackwell’s was hell.
It got more accommodating when Mr Hunter’s father into the office on a Wednesday morning without notice, he met Mr Hunter raining all sort of insults on me over nothing that was worth the stress.
Him showing up saved me from more insults because Mr Hunter has a lot of them for

1 greeted him and excused them
1 overheard him telling him to be more soft with me because I was new then and still learning.
Mr. Hunter’s father is a sweet handsome old than, Hunter got his looks from him.
Those days i cried seven days a week.
I couldn’t help but contain all his attitude because I needed the money to pay bills.
“It’s okay sir I will get a mop and broom to clear the mess”
Miss Quinn is the rich Daddy little spoilt brat, I don’t think she can identify a mop stick when she sees one. Lol
1 returned with mop and broom and cleaned the floor
“Are you sure, you are fine?” He asked again with concern.
“Yes sir I am fine and as I had said earlier all thanks to you that I am fine now” I grinned from ear to ear.
“The lunch at your place…”
“What about the it? I asked with a shaky voice
“Calm down! Relax” he expressed
“I enjoyed the meal, it was one of the tastiest meals I have tasted”
I became relaxed from the tension I had during lunch. I had hoped that this talk would never come up, at least not in the heart of my rebellion.
But it seems like it’s coming up now for good.
“The meal was prepared by my mom and dad, my dad was and is still a chef,” I added
“Am glad you enjoyed it and thank you for gracing the lunch,”
His lips tugged with smile that he would do anything for me not to notice but I did. noticed.
Now I see where you got those magic hands from,” he teased
He had never complimented my cook rather he was always ready to get create a fault when there’s known.

I smiled “I will take that as a compliment.”
I left with the mop and broom, and came back with a glass cup for the water.
“Thank you” he said as 1 dropped it on his desk.
“Let me get back to what I was doing, it’s almost lunch time,”
“I will like paste for lunch,”
“Pasta you will get” I winced playfully and excused him.
“Hi Sam”
“Hello Eden.”
“How is it going?” I asked
“I’m almost done with it.”
I supervised the sorted papers and was impressed with how neatly sorted and well arranged they were.
“I’m really impressed,” I commended her efforts.
“Thank you, it’s obvious am learning from the best,” she teased.
“Once you’re done, you should take it into the office, there’s a space on the shelf for them, then you cone help me inthe kitchen”
I reviewed and replied few emails before going into the kitchen. A well equipped cooking space that is well stocked.
I was still chopping the tomatoes when Samantha walked in and asked what can she help with.
I handed over the chopping board and knife to her, I went ahead to the pot of boiling water and add the pasta to it.
She neatly chopped and diced the veggies.
At exactly one fifteen pm lunch was ready and the table was arranged.
Samantha offered to get Mr Hunter.
They showed up together at the dining room, I was already sitting.
Chapter 10
“Hello sir” 1 greeted:
He took his sit and we all dipped in.
“Eden I would like you to help me out in the office after lunch,” he said.
“Okay sir”
“How is it with you Sam?” he questioned
“Fine, thank you sir”
“Hope you’re learning well?” he added.
She answered, “yes, I am, Eden is a good teacher.”
A grin played on his lips..
My phone beeped on the table, it was a message from Trevor stating how he had sent me lunch to the office and I was absent.
“Awwwwwn.” I blushed and replied explaining to him that I was working from home today.
He is such a sweet soul, they might be a chance for the two of us to work.
He has a great sense of humor, but then there’s something he’s lacking that I’m yet to figure out.
Lunch was over and we all got busy.I have sent a quiet number of emails to Sam for review and replies. It’s to test how good she can be at that.
“What do you mean it was a mistake,” Mr Hunter yelled on the phone
