Eden’s POV
I went into the penthouse house and sighted Alexis from behind,
“Good morning Alexis,” I greeted.
“Morning Eden, how was your night?”
“Fine thank you,”
We talked about the wedding briefly and she walked away into the gym space.
I dropped my handbag on the couch and went straight into the kitchen.
My heart was palpitating so fast when I recalled the series of missed calls and unattended messages that Hunter had left me.
To make things worse Trevor has stirred the storm more by answering his call.
He had on to many occasions told me how he doesn’t like seeing Trevor around me and now how will he act to the fact that Trevor picked his call.
I farted In the midst of my thoughts, I do that whenever I get nervous and scared.

“What are you now? Some kind of bedmate that picks each other’s call?” ughh…
From the content of the message I knew trouble was lingering in the air.
I start preparing breakfast in the midst of the chaos In my thoughts.
Come to think of it, there was something undoubtedly unusual with the way Alexis answered my greetings, it was more like she struggled to sound cool.
She seems to me like a wary and jealous woman, I thought.
In the middle of my stormy thoughts, Hunter walked Into the kitchen covered in sweat,
“Good morning sir,” I greeted, I don’t want to act suspicious since Alexis is in the house.
“Morning,” he replied coldly, and picked up a bottle of water and headed out.
“Dinner will be served soon,” I announced.
I time traveled back to where my thoughts stopped.
“Alexis spent the night here that means they must have had sex and so much fun? Does she plan to stay the entire weekend here?” the voice of my jealous self asked angrily.

“Don’t be selfish Eden, she’s his fiancee and you’re just the assistant who foolishly fell for his magnetic powers and nothing more.” I warned myself.
I was so confused about what to believe, to think that he has professed what he feels for me and I feel the same but right now I don’t know what to believe.

Time stopped as I gaze on his clothless chest, he just came out of the bathroom and was still in his shower towel.

I leaned to the wall by the door with my eyes locked tightly and my heart beating thrice as normal, I robbed my hand on the wall seeking solitude.
I don’t think I can stand the thoughts of him touching another woman as he does to me.
I took a deep breath in and out for relief, and went away from the door.
By the time I got into the dining space they were both behind me, we all sat at the table and ate breakfast.
I could literally sense rage in the air. I noticed how Alexis stares at me during breakfast with her brows furrowed at every
gaze.
I knew I had subscribed if not fully, I have gone halfway with the subscription for the wrath of a jealous and wounded

We finished up with breakfast respectively. I cleared the table and washed the dishes.
The cleaner arrived, just a few minutes after 1 was done with the dishes. I guessed Hunter had invited him, maybe because he thought I might not show up this morning.
She started by cleaning the sitting room while I did the laundry.
By the time I came out of the laundry room, she was done cleaning the sitting room and Hunter was right there in the sitting room
