Alexis’s POV
As I drove down the road, the scene of what happened at the diger space came replaying in my head.
I suspected the both were up to something when Eden received message and stood up to go out a few minutes after
Hunter left the table.
Earlier Hunter had tried denying another man the right to sit next to her, I saw how jealousy was installed in his eyes.
So my suspicion grew stronger as 1 connected several pieces of their compromising acts.
I followed her from behind and pipped at them from a distance away. I couldn’t hear their conversation but then I could see them.

I ran in the moment Eden took off his hands around her hips so they didn’t notice me.
“Mum please can I speak to you for a minute,” I whispered into Hunter’s mom’s car.
“Yea, sure my dear,”
We walked down to the restroom corridor.
“Mom I have confirmed my suspicion of Hunter and Eden,”
“Who is Eden?”
“His assistant mom,
“Oh! That’s what she is called?”
“Mom Hunter was kissing her passionately in the parking lot,”

“I have always known that, that lady was no good around him,” she yelled.
“It’s okay I will handle them both,”
“But then my dear I will advise you to fight for what you want, fight for you man,” she advised holding my hands.
“Don’t let that low life intimidate you,”
“I understand how you feel, I promise you that I will deal with that low life assistant, people like her are gold diggers,” she assured me.
“They come to reap were they didn’t sow,”
“Don’t let that spoil your mood, enjoy the dinner,” she comforted.
She left me standing there and went back to her seat. I thanked my stars that my parents aren’t here to see this.
“And as for that low life I will deal with her In my own ways, no one messes with Alexis,” I muttered to myself.

“How dare Hunter choose that assistant over me, huh?” I whispered to the image of myself in the mirror.

I rushed out of the bathroom back to the seat and found Hunter already sitting. I felt like strangling him from behind, but the peaceful part of me will not permit violence.
He denied not seeing her when I asked for her whereabouts as I noticed she was absent on the table.
1 fought the urge to confront him and acted all normal.
I parked the car by the road side and laid my head on the car’s steering
The fact that he was cheating on me didn’t bother me as much as the person that he chose to cheat with does.

I turned on the car and drove off to the club to meet my girls.

The bar man kept the orders coming in, I began to see things in twos and my vision became blurry as I gulped in more liquor down my throat.
The music that was coming in from the DJ’s corner made me stand on my feet and began to shake my body.
“Alex, what is the matter with you?” A voice echoed In my head.
I shook my body so well as I flushed more liquor into my bowel

“Hey beautiful,” a male voice echoed.
I swung my hands at random and I could feel them hitting on someone’s body.

“Alex calm down,” a more familiar voice echoed in my head as I felt a touch on my both hands gluing them together to stop whatever harm they were doing.
I was directed to my seat, I took a yet to open bottle of liquor off the table, someone held my hand.
“No Alex you have drank to much already,”
“We have to get going it’s late already,”
“I want more of this place,” I whispered into the air with a faint volume.

I felt so many hands around my body lifting me off the ground.
“No! I want more of this place, let me be,” I screamed.
“We are going home right now,”
“I can’t find my car keys,”
“It’s here with me.”
We got to the parking lot.
“Give me the car keys,” I commanded, opening my right palm.
“what do you want to do with it,”
“I want to drive my car,”
“You didn’t tell us that you planned of going six feet into the earth,”
“Get into the car, I’m driving.” Diana’s voice echoed in my head.
She helped me into the car and drove off.
I woke up in the morning on Diaha’s bed with a mild migraine.
“Hey you’re awake,” Diana called out.
Ahhh…I screamed in pain with both my palms wrapped around my head.
“Calm down, take this it will help,” she handed the cup in her hands over to me.
“It’s a hangover from the excess liquor you drank last night,” she explained.
“Hey but what’s with you? You drank more than you have ever,”
I let out an audible sigh.
“Diana, you cannot imagine what my eyes saw at the business dinner I attended yesterday,”
“Whatever happens I’m sure it was the reason you drank too much,” she muttered.
“I saw Hunter kissing his so called assistant,”
“Okayyy…” she rolled her eyes.
“Why are you acting like it’s nothing bad?”
“No, Alex truth be told me and you knows that you don’t love that guy,”

I’m closer to Trisha among my friends, maybe because she’s the tricky one and knows how to sound the pleasing words into

She went into the bathroom while I sat in the bed, thinking of possible ways to deal with that low life.
