I went stiff on the spot and I could still feel his gaze on me as he talked.
A sudden shiver ran shown my knees and I could feel myself finding it difficult to standl. I felt like screaming as I heard him whisper those words through my cars straight into my

I stood there wishing he could read through my mind and know how deeply in love I was with him.
I shrugged it off and summoned the courage to talk.
“We have a meeting to attend in five minutes,”
“Is that all you’ve got to say?”
“I could cancel the meeting. If I want,”
“No you will not do that remember the meeting was supposed to have held before now,”
“Okay.”
“Thanks for the lunch pack.”

“How did you know I was the one who sent in the pack?”

He bent his head and kissed my neck, he kissed down to my shoulder.
I was getting carried away by his touches when I felt a jolt snapped me out of the moment.
I gently pushed him away.
“Stop, we are still at the office plus it’s afternoon, what if someone walked in on us?”
“What are you scared of?
“I’m the boss here and nobody dare walk into my office uninvited, so relax.”

“You do?”
“Of course I miss you,” he reassured.
“What about your wedding plans?”
For now I don’t know, but if there’s anything I’m sure of is that I love you,”

“So I will just keep calm and wait…”
“It’s time for the meeting already, you know it will be unprofessional to keep them waiting.” I interrupted his talk.
“Okay but you still haven’t said anything.”
“Let’s go.”
We walked out of his office and headed straight to the board room.
“Good afternoon, sir,” they chorused while standing.
“Good afternoon, sir,” he replied.
We all sat down and I handed over the file to him.
The account manager took over the stage and the meeting started.
I have always known that the account manager has an eye on me because he has thrown passes on several occasions and I ignored it but I didn’t know that he got the gall to throw passes even in a meeting
He occasionally wink and bit his lower lip seductively whenever our gaze locked in the midst of the meeting.
The meeting was over and I walked out of the board room.
“Eden, Eden, wait,” the account manager called.
“Hey, hi,”
“You have been avoiding me lately,”
“Really?”
“Don’t act as though you don’t know what I’m talking about,”
“Eden you know I like you,” he held my hand.
“Release my hand please,”
“Eden, I like you and you know that, stop pretending like you don’t like me too, I can take care of you and provide all the things you need and will need,”
His words and touch disgust me.
“Please release my hand,” my tone changed.”
“Just accept me and…”
“She said you should release her hand,” a hoarse voice came from behind us.

We both turned around and it was Hunter standing.
“Release her hand, he ordered.
“Sorry sir,” the account manager apologized and vacated the space.
“Hey.”
He looked at me with his eyes reddening, he walked away from the corridor and headed to his office.
I followed him but still didn’t catch up with his steps, I met Sam on my way.
“Hey! What’s with Mr Hunter?Did the meeting go well at all?” she asked curiously.
“He looks like he’s going to fire us all,”
Then it dawned on me that his angry face was noticeable to all.
I walked past her with no words.
“Hey, are you okay?”
“Why was that man touching you like that?” he asked furiously.

“You know you have to calm down because if you continue with this act of yours, you will end up putting me in trouble that I’m not ready for,”
“I wouldn’t want anyone knowing about us, well at least not now, so please let’s just keep it low.”
He looked at me with unbelief.
“Plus if you want us to work please let’s keep things professional around the office,”
“Okay, but please don’t let those men holding you at my watch,
“Hmmm…I never knew you could be this jealous,” I flashed a quick smile.
He hugged me tightly and a smirk displayed at the corner of his mouth,
“There are a lot you don’t know about me,”
I chuckled because it felt like he was lying. If I should be asked what I know about him, I can confidently say that I know virtually everything about him, well maybe not everything but ruinety nine percent of everything he entails I know.
“Okay let me go and quickly make the corrections made during the meeting,”
“Bye,”
“I love you Eden,”
I was confused about what to do because everything happening feels awkward, from how he took care of me last week with love and affection when I had challenges with my monthly flow to how he knows professes love to me effortlessly.
All those are too good to be true, I thought.
I thought we were just having a fling, I have made myself believe that he can never love me, well maybe I was wrong, maybe I can be loved by him.

My ears had been longing for the sound of those words from him, but they got shocked when they heard them
Before now in some strange way I was thinking that whenever he told me that he loves me I would gladly tell him that I love him too, but when it happens today I couldn’t even reply.
Can he genuinely love me? Don’t he think I’m a cheap girl? Did he really mean it when he said he could give up the fame for me? How am I sure those words were not just to fasten the shifting of my panties?
Why would he go through such stress just to shift a common assistant’s panties when he had the money and fame to get a more classy girl?
“Hey Eden! Enough of you been a pessimist, What if he meant all those words? And what if he is your Moses?” I whispered to myself.
