Chapter 63
Eden’s POV
I was trying to round up what I was doing, because it was almost closing time when Hunter came out of his office together
with Andrew and headed straight out of the complex.
Twenty five minutes after they left.
“Hello Eden.”
“Hey! hi I lifted up my head and saw Trevor standing.
“Let me be your cab man for today,” he said with an ear to ear grin displayed on his face.
I shut down my system and packed everything on my desk into my handbag
“Let me help you with that,” he offered to help with my laptop.
“Thank you.
“I insist.” he said and snatched the laptop away from my hand.
“Thank you,” a flavourful smile phyed on my lips
His gesture was mesmerizing to my soul, we headed out of the office space to the parking lot.
He opened the car door for me. As I settled into the passenger’s seat at the front, Trevor got in and settled into his seat, he started the engine and drove off.
The soft and slow music playing in the background and the gentle hum of the car’s engine created a cozy atmosphere. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of comfort and ease from all the storms raining inside of me.
Trevor’s chivalrous gestures help in keeping me calm and distracted from all the happenings in my life.
“So, where do we start from?” He said with a warm smile, breaking the silence.
“Drinks or go shopping?”
“Uhm..so I have been thinking why not skip shopping for another day? Let’s just go for the drinks and that will be after I go home and change into something more simple.”
“As if I knew you were gonna say this, so while I was coming to your office, I sighted a very beautiful gown in a boutique along the road side,”
My eyes opened wide in surprise and my ears spread to hear what he had to say.
“So I thought to myself that this dress will perfectly fit you, so I turned off the engine and walked into the boutique and picked the dress because I cannot risk losing it to another buyer, he continued.
I was curiously waiting to hear the end of all these stories.
“So. I bought the dress and it sitting right in the back of the car.
“You you what?! What if it doesn’t fit me!”
“Nah I trust myself, it will definitely fit you,”

“So, you see the shopping part is settled so let’s go so you can change into something more simple, we have the whole night for drink.
We chatted casually during the drive. The
conversation flowed effortlessly, and before I knew it, we were approaching my apartment building.
Trevor pulled up to the curb, he turned off the engine and turned to me, “Are you okay?”
Yes I’m fine.”
“Just that you seem a little bit distracted at some point of the ride.”
“No. I’m okay.”
Okay let’s go in, you can take as much time as you need to be refreshed before we go to the bar, he said with a smile on his

“No no no I will be the one to open the door for you, please allow me to treat you like the queen that you are.”
I blushed as he walked out and opened my own side of the car, he collected all that I was holding to give me comfort out of
“Thank you.” I stepped out of the car.
He picked out the box on the back seat of the car and we walked into the apartment.
“You should go in and freshen up. I will watch television while I wait for you,”
I headed straight to the bedroom.
“Ain’t you forgetting something?” he interrupted my walk.
“What is that?”
He took a few steps closer to me and handed the gift pack in his hand to me.
“Try it on.”
“Thank you.”
“It’s my pleasure, Eden,” he replied with a warm smile.
I walked into the bedroom with the box in my hands, I took a quick bath, I wouldn’t want to keep him waiting
I unpacked the box he gave me and brought out a very beautiful and stunning short gown with a lot of glitter on it.
I put it on and stood before the mirror admiring how good the clothing looks on me, the off shoulder makes it look more elegant on me
My eyes opened wide as I glanced at the dazzling jewelries in the partially abandoned box.
I bent halfway and picked out the jewelry.
“Whoa” I whispered under my breath

I wrapped the necklace around my neck, it fit in with the dress flawlessly
1 was lost in self admitation when I saw the gift

Could he have bought the dress for me to wear to the birthday? He didn’t mention it and since I’m not going there with him I will wear this particulas one I thought in my head.
I quickly pulled out the dress and picked out of my wardrobe a purple button loose shirt and long matching loose trousers.
1 brushed and packed my hair and quickly slid my foot into a flat white half opened shoe
I picked my mini white purse and quickly added lipgloss to my lips and walked out of the bedroom
Tm so sorry for keeping you,” I apologized as I approached him
“No, you didn’t keep me, as a matter of fact you were fast,”
“Whoa” He exclaimed, his eyes sparkling in the dimly lit room,
“You look simply stunning, shall we?” he straight his right hand forward to me.
“Yes,”
He drove the car out of the apartment and after a few minutes of riding, we arrived at the bar, he stopped the car. The whole place looks so pleasing to the eyes, the different rays of light used for the outer space decor as enticing to the eye.
“This place is beautiful at night,”
“Yea, it is, hope you like the place? We you don’t we can visit a different bar,”
As we step into the bar holding each other’s hands, a few steps away from the entrance, I lift up my head admiring the beautiful interior decor that gives life to the atmosphere.
My eyes traveled slowly and got trapped in a familiar eye.
My heart skipped a beat as I recognized those eyes to be Hunters My stomach churned with anxiety.
