Thunter’s POV
“Good morning bro. Andrew greeted me.
“You should still be sleeping by now, he added as he leaned to pick the dumbbells seated on the floor in the gym space.
“Hey, good morning buddy, hope you slept well? I said with a shaky voice as I stepped on the stepping machine.
“Yea, I did, I thought you will be sleeping by now, you look like you have been awake for long,” he said with concern
“Nah I’m okay.”
“You need to be okay to look good for the event later,”
“I know”
“Talking of the event, Alexis has called me several times to ask of you, why are you not picking or returning her calls,” he said, his both hands busy lifting the dumbbells up and down.
“I’m not in the mood if talking to her,”
“You can as well reply to her SMS, don’t make things worse than they already are
“I’m trying to bro, it’s just that I can’t get Eden off my head.”
“You should even if it is for today,”
“You should,” he said, directing his focus to his hands. He admires his muscles with every raise of the dumbbells.
1 could see his well built chest and six packs through the white singlet on him.
I increased the speed of the stepping machine I was stepping on
My heart beat intensified as the speed did.
The sound of the music is soothing to my ears as I focus on the body building exercise.
In the midst of the exercise I couldn’t help but wonder what Eden is up to and I hoped that by the time I walked into the kitchen I would meet her standing by the cabinet chopping veggies for breakfast.
As I thought of her with my eyes closed flowing with the rhythm of the music playing I could feel my hand wrapping her waist from behind as I dipped a soft and quick kiss on her neck, my mouth welled up as I thought of her
I traveled into the realm of fantasy, with every step on the stepping machine it takes me deeper into the fantasy world.
I was out of the gym space, with no idea of the happenings in the gym space
The stepping machine stopped. l’opened my eyes and saw Andrew standing beside me
“Bro, wassup
“Your phour has been ringing, and are you in this space at all?”
“What sort of question is that?”

1 chuckled and stepped down from the machine, I went for my phone, the moment I picked the phone in my hand, it began to ting again.
“Tim, pick up already.” Andrew advised.
−1 will call her once I freshened up
We both walked out of the gym space and headed straight to the kitchen.
We each picked a bottle of water and drank.
My phone began to ring again and this time it’s my mom calling The phone was seated in between us as we leaned in the opposite direction on the kitchen center working space.
I watched the phone rang.
“Bro, pick up, it’s your mom calling,” he said like I wasn’t seeing who the caller was
— know, I will return all their calls once I freshened up.”
“Okay, but you know how your mother can be, you have been ignoring her calls since yesterday.”
“Yea, I know, I will call her back.”
I picked another bottle of water from the fridge
fridge and we both walked out of the kitchen
I took a step on the stairway when the doorbell buzzed
I turned to look at Andrew who was also looking at me,
“Are you expecting anyone?” he asked
Tea. Eden maybe, but she has her own key I don’t think she’s the one,”
“Maybe it’s Alexis,”
“No, she has her key too.”
“Anything can happen, they can forget it at their place or even list the key,”
My mind went to the day we came back from the office and found the whole house scattered. What if that was a sign and now they have come to kidnap me? Noooo, even if they are to be adaptors at the doorstep I’m sure they would have come more earlier than now, a vague memory flash in my head.
The doorbell buzzed for the second time.
“Who could it be this early if not Eden or Alexis?” Andrew asked
“Let me get the door,”
Weward to the door and Andrew opened the door
My phone began to ring and I checked the caller and lifted up my head to see who was standing at the doorstep
It was the sur person I will never expect to ser at my doorstep, the caller and the one standing right in front of me looking straight in my body windows happens to be my mom

My eyes locked in hers-
“Good morning ma.” Andrew greeted her and stepped aside till holding the door
“Good morning Andrew, she replied him with her eyes still fixed into mine.
She walked into the space, Andrew shut the door and made a sign for me to loosen up
“Mom, what are you doing here?” Lasked
“Is that how you greet your mom and welcome her into your house?”
“You didn’t tell me you were coming.”
“Do I need to inform you before visit my son?”
Nes mom. I’m an adult,”
“And I’m your mother,” she said with so much authority,
“Why have you been ignoring my call! and Alexis gave the same report,”
“I have been busy, I have work
“Hmmm I see, do you mean thesanic work you left to waste away while you waste yourself in the bar?”
Did Alexis tell my mom all these!
“Anyways I have come to warn you to behave well and don’t do anything stupid to ruin what I and your father had suffer to build.”
“Hope you know that it’s almost two weeks, I’m expecting a wedding date and if you fail to, I will fix the date myself and you will obey my decision,”
“You will do no such thing.”
“I am your mother, and you will do ever I said,” she said pointing at herself.
you supposed to be with Alexis? It’s her birthday today,”
“Be my mother and stop detecting my life, you have done that in the past with everything that concerns me and this time I will not let you decide who my heart beat for,”
“We shall see to that, let me not get any further complaints from Alexis again,” she said and walked out.
