“Look who we have here, the cheap assistant, and a homewrecker,” an unfamiliar feminine voice sounded.
“Ouch, ouch,” I groan in pain, letting go of what was in my hand, I held my head with pain as I turn aroundto face who it was.

I looked around and saw people gathering and focusing their attention on us, some have even started making a video of the

I recognized her face so well, but I couldn’t remember where I had seen her.

The whole place went silent with no background chattering for a few seconds, after a few moments of silence the buzzing and chattering of people’s voices filled the whole place.

Alex chuckled and looked around before returning her gaze to Sam, ” Were you speaking to me? What gave you the nerves? Or I see you are also a partaker huh..?”
Tears came streaming down my eyes and my knees went cold, my mouth couldn’t open to utter a word, at the spot where I stood I went stiff and in that moment I wished someone could just wake me up from my sleep.
My head began to spin and I saw people in circles, the mall was rotating fast and voices echoed in my ear.
I massage my forehead with my palm to help me feel better, I was still rubbing my palm through my forehead, then I saw Hunter horridly walk into the mall, Trevor and Andrew came right after him in the heat of the chaos.
Their voices echoed hard in my ear, I heard Hunter’s voice yelling at Alexis, the whole scene was making me go insane.
Suddenly, everything went black and blank, and I felt myself falling to the ground. I couldn’t hear anything except for a faint voice calling my name. “Eden! Eden, wake up!” I tried to open my eyes, but they felt heavy, and my head was pounding so bad.
I was vaguely aware of being lifted up and carried away from the chaos. The last thing I remembered was Sam’s worried face hovering over me, her voice whispering reassurances in my ear
By the time I came back to planet earth, I was lying on a couch in an unfamiliar room. Sam was sitting next to me, holding my hand. “Hey, are you okay?” she asked, concern etched on her face.
I nodded slowly, trying to piece together what had happened. “Alexis…she was there,” Istammered.
Sam’s expression turned angry. “Don’t worry about her, Eden. You’re safe now, you know I think that lady is very stupid to have done what she did earlier,” Sam said, her voice laced with so much anger.
“I think it’s time we teach that bitch a lesson she will never forget Sam added.
But I knew I wasn’t safe. Alexis had made it clear that she was going to deal with me and I had no idea what she was capable

“You know, I thought that by now, all this should be over since it has been publicly announced that she will wed Hunter in nine days, but it doesn’t seem that way,”

“Yea, you’re right, I think so too,” Sam said in agreement.
I sat up, my head still spinning. “But what happened though? How did I get here?” I asked, looking around at the unfamiliar surroundings.
Sam helped me sit up and handed me a glass of water. “You fainted in the mall, and Trevor drove us to his place,”

“Wait Eden, don’t tell me that you have never been to his place? Why am I even asking? it’s obvious,” she said with so much surprise in her tone.”
I took a sip of water, trying to clear my foggy mind. “Alexis…she was saying some pretty horrible things,” I said, my voice shaking.
Sam’s expression turned fierce. “Don’t listen to her, Eden. She’s just trying to hurt you. She’s been spreading rumors and lies about you all over town.”
I felt a wave of fear wash over me. “How did Hunter and Trevor show up at the mall,” I asked my heart racing.
Sam hesitated before speaking. “I’m sorry Sam, I called Hunter, I panicked and the only helper I could think of was him, I’m sorry,” she sounded so sincere
My eyes widened in horror but the inner part of me was grateful that she called him and he showed up right in time. If he had not showed up the time he did, I’d probably be six feet into the planet I walk on.
Sam?! My eyes widened in surprise, “I thought we agreed that, no calls to Hunter again?”
“Well we did, but desperate times call for despicable measures, I’m sorry I had to call him,”
“Trevor?”
“Apparently it happens that Trevor and Hunter were in the same space the time I called, what brought them into the same space, that i didn’t get the details so please don’t ask me further questions, thank you,”
“Sam, I really didn’t mean to hurt Alexis this bad,”
Sam nodded. “I know, Eden, and I believe you, but right now Alexis is determined to ruin your reputation. We need to figure out why she’s so obsessed with hurting you, because just as you have said she’s not supposed to be fighting you since she’s finally getting married to him,”
“You’re right Sam,”
1 felt a chill run down my spine. Alexis was more dangerous than I had thought. And I had no idea what she was capable of doing next.
“Isn’t that my phone ringing?” I asked.
“I don’t think you’re in the right mind to pick a call right now.” Sam murmured

She handed over the phone without revealing who the caller was my eyes beamed the moment I saw that, it was Eli calling.
