He stayed in the bathroom for over three hours, scrubbing himself clean. When he finally came out and sat on the couch, he immediately jumped up again.
“I’m still dirty. I can’t get her couch filthy,” he muttered to himself.
It seemed like he was reminded of the time I moved out. He mumbled that I left because he had tainted the whole house.
He sniffed his body, convinced he still smelled bad, and went right back into the bathroom for another shower.
When he emerged again, his skin was red and steaming as if he had scalded himself. He took out his sleeping pills, swallowed a few, and lay back down on the bed.
The TV drama he had filmed with Zia was about to air, and the investors were asking them to promote it.
But Felix was too drained, mentally and physically, to handle any of it. He was barely more than a shell of a person now, just going through the motions of life.
When Zia heard about having to promote alongside Felix, she outright refused. She was terrified of him by
now.
Felix had been taking sleeping pills for a while, and his mental state was deteriorating rapidly. One night, while drinking in the wine cellar, he suddenly set the place on fire.
Seeing him like this, I decided it was time to stop helping him. It felt like the best thing I could do for him
now.
I could sense my soul fading away, and as the sun rose, I took one final look at the world and waved it goodbye.
I could almost feel my parents coming to welcome me
Epilogue
After I rescued Felix from the bar, I connected him with all kinds of resources. To his credit, he worked hard, and within a year, he became one of the top stars.
But he was also incredibly clingy. He did not want to go to work unless I went with him. Every time he had a job, he would immediately ask if I was busy. If I wasn’t, he insisted I go along.
“Other top stars are afraid of getting caught in a relationship, but not you. Why are you like this?” I would tease him.
He always watched me closely, terrified I would leave. Even if I got up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, he would wake up instantly.
“Don’t leave me,” he would whisper.
I never understood why he was so insecure or why he was so afraid. It seemed like I had not given him enough of a sense of security. I would pat his back to calm him.

The day before he was supposed to join the film crew, he suddenly posted on social media, publicly announcing our relationship.
“Why the rush? When I asked you to announce it before, you made every excuse not to,” I said, surprised.
He told me he was afraid someone else would swoop in and steal me away.
“Someone as amazing as you should be claimed first,” he said.
He then took the contract we had signed and destroyed it.
“From now on, no more talk of breaking up or leaving.‘
When the news of our relationship broke online, it sparked a lot of debate, but Felix did not even notice. He was too busy once he joined the crew.
I saw the discussions online, but I did not care. The sooner people accepted it, the better.
As for worries about his popularity taking a hit or losing out on good roles, I was not concerned at all. I would personally choose all the scripts that suited him best.
After going public, we often appeared together in the public eye, and a few years later, we finally got married.
