“From now on, you’ve got us by your side,” they reassured Chris. He had to clarify once again that we were truly just like siblings but many people still did not believe him.
After Felix finished filming for the day, he scrolled through the videos. He could not stand it anymore. He was the one who had really been in a relationship with me.
“I’m the one who was Emma’s boyfriend! Plenty of people can vouch for it,” he blurted out.
Sally never expected this kind of outburst. Back when he was allowed to go public, he had not done it. Now, he was suddenly confessing to the world on his own.
Felix even shared the contract I had signed with him.
“Sure, we started because of the contract, but we really did fall in love afterward,” he said.
He admitted that he had been a coward, too afraid to go public about our relationship while I was alive.
But the internet was not having it. People thought he was just trying to ride the wave of attention after my death.
He tried desperately to explain, but no one believed him. In no time, he had gained a flood of haters.
Sally, worried about his mental state, took away his phone.
“For now, just focus on your work,” she said.
Felix curled up on the bed, hugging the giant teddy bear I used to sleep with that I had given to him.
He could not sleep so he took out a sleeping pill.
“In my dreams, I can see Emma again, right?” he whispered.
“I loved you so much, but I didn’t even realize it.”
On set, Felix would zone out whenever he saw people visiting, especially when he saw couples being affectionate. It was like the outside world no longer mattered to him. He

his own world.
When the filming finally wrapped up, he did not even attend the wrap party. He went straight home. Before I passed, I had arranged through my lawyer to gift my family’s old house to Felix.
I was getting impatient. It felt like the lawyer was taking forever to handle things.
In my frustration, I appeared in the lawyer’s dream, urging him to deliver the house keys to Felix immediately.
The next morning, the lawyer rushed over.
After just a few days, he looked worn out, unshaven, and disheveled.
I could not help but look at him with disdain, wishing I could come back to life just to clean him up.
“This is something Miss Quinn instructed me to give you before she passed,” the lawyer said as he handed over the keys.

There was also a letter from me.
“The house is yours now,” it said.

The lawyer then took him to my house. I had carefully organized all of our memories there.
Since entering the house, Felix had not stepped outside. Every day, he got drunk, talking to the things in the room, reminiscing about the past.
One day, I watched in horror as he took a handful of sleeping pills and swallowed them.
I wanted to stop him, but there was nothing I could do.
“What are you doing? Are you crazy? Why would you want to die? Life is worth living!” I shouted, though I knew he could not hear me.
Felix turned off his phone, laid down on the bed and smiled.
Unexpectedly, the lawyer came by again that day, having accidentally left a spare key behind earlier.
When he opened the door and saw Felix lying motionless on the bed, he panicked and immediately called for an ambulance.
Felix was revived, but there was no one else by his side, except for Sally.
She stayed with him for a few days, afraid that he might try something like that again. In her concern, she hired a caretaker to watch over him.

Felix took out his phone and saw a message from Zia. Suddenly, it was like he had a burst of energy. He ripped out his IV and insisted on being discharged from the hospital.
