The hospital report clearly stated that Amanda was over three months pregnant.
George sneered. “Amanda, I didn’t even know you three months ago. Don’t tell me this child is mine?”
“What? She’s pregnant and trying to pin it on him?”
“This is outrageous!”
“No wonder he refuses to marry her. I wouldn’t either.”
Humiliated by the public accusations, Amanda’s eyes filled with hatred as she glared at George.
Suddenly, she grabbed a pair of scissors
from her dowry, lunged at him and stabbed his chest.
“George!”
Blood instantly soaked through his clothes,

staining them red. Seeing this, the onlooker snapped out of their shock and rushed to pull the two apart.
“Get him to the hospital–hurry!”
“George! Hang in there!”
Amanda looked at the man, who was lying on the ground and laughed maniacally, “Die, George! Just go to hell!
In the chaos, she was pushed and shoved to the ground. As a result, a large pool of blood flowed from beneath her.
Amanda was so frightened. With tears in her eyes, she shouted, “Help! Please, help me! My stomach… it hurt so much!”
The scene descended into utter chaos.
After all the injured party were rushed to the hospital by the crowd, General Palmer was so depressed. “How could a happy event turn into this mess?”
The matter of Amanda getting pregnant out of wedlock made the Cain Family ashamed.

They were so embarrassed that they refrained from making trouble with the Palmer Family.
As for George, after the doctor treated him,
it was declared his life was not in immediate danger. Luckily, the scissors. had missed his heart by only three centimeters and it was enough to spare his
life.
Meanwhile, Amanda was unlucky. The delay in getting her to the hospital after her miscarriage caused complications and she got infected. To save her life, the doctors had to remove her uterus.
Her reputation was destroyed and the art troupe did not want to do anything with her. This made her fall into despair so she jumped up from the top floor of the hospital and committed suicide.
Yet, George still clung to the delusion of reuniting with Kelly. He was sure Ken had taken advantage of her vulnerable state to marry her.

If I learn about satellites and join the research base, I’ll be near her every day. She’ll fall in love with me again, he thought.
That night, George approached General Palmer and expressed his desire to join the satellite research base. However, when he stepped into the study room, he found his father looking unusually grave.
“Dad…” he began, but the rest of his words caught in his throat.
General Palmer sighed deeply and motioned for him to sit down. Then he said, “George, start packing your things. We’re moving out in a few days.”
George was bewildered and asked, “Why?”
General Palmer answered, “I’m haven early retirement.”
George was so confused when he heard. this. “Dad, why are you retiring early? I was hoping you could help me secure a position at the satellite research base.”

General Palmer gave him a long, meaningful look before shaking his head.
“George, your unauthorized entry into the experimental base was recorded as a
disciplinary offense. Afterward, your attitude toward military tasks was indifferent. This time, your altercation with Amanda was reported to higher–ups. So, they decided to dismiss you.”
When he heard this, George felt he could not breathe. He had never imagined being dismissed from the military.
For the first time in days, the numbness he had felt was replaced by sheer panic. “Dad … I don’t want to be expelled. Isn‘ t there another way?”
General Palmer sighed, his regret was palpable.
