Melody stared at the phone Alec had pulled out.
It was filled with chat records between Faye and me.
They documented her bragging about our parents‘ love and her
feigning illness to beg Alec to make me donate my heart.
“You think just because you’ve come home, Mom and Dad will suddenly love you?”
“Keep dreaming. You still reek of poverty even when you’re cleaned
up.”
“Spend the rest of your miserable life with Uncle Zoran and Aunt Primrose in that backwater town.”
“As if you’re worthy of marrying Alec?”
“Mom and Dad already said that once I’m better, they’ll let me marry Alec.”
“See? You’re nothing but trash in this family.”
“Want to bet? If I tell Alec to force you to donate your heart, you’ll have to do it.”
“I told you, you can’t beat me.”
“You don’t have parents or a lover. What’s the point of you even being alive?”
“If I were you, I’d find a quiet spot to off myself after the surgery.” The chat history was appalling, filled with insults and attacks

Alec couldn’t imagine what was going through my mind when I saw
these messages.
His eyes blazed red, his hand gripping the phone tightly.
“Tell me, did you do this?”
Faye clutched her hospital gown in panic. “I didn’t do it. Melody did it to frame me.”
“She’s not willing to donate her heart to me, so she’s putting on this act. Alec, don’t be fooled.”
“She must be watching in secret, just to make you doubt me.”
“Her heart is so vicious. I only asked for one of her hearts.”
“She’s living just fine, yet she’s creating all these false things to deceive you.”
Faye cried out loudly.
My mom couldn’t bear to listen anymore. She walked up to Faye and slapped her hard across the face.
Faye didn’t expect Mom to hit her.
“You’re hitting me for her? What’s so great about her? She’s nothing but a mutt, a worthless bitch with no one to raise her.” Faye’s words were extremely offensive.
Alec couldn’t hold back. His hand tightly gripped Faye’s throat.

The first time Alee saw Faye, he had a strange feeding,

Faye escaped from Alec’s grasp, lying down and coughing incessantly,
After catching her breath, she turned to her parents for help. “Mom, Dad, it’s all Melody’s trickery. She’s behind everything” “Quick, go find her and bring her here. Then the truth will come
out.”

Jaye hadn’t noticed her parents‘ expressions; she was still trying to
tear me down.
Mom and Dad didn’t move, they just kept crying.
Alec seemed like he couldn’t hold back anymore,
He couldn’t bear the thought of my heart being inside such a vicious woman as Melody,
Alec grabbed the scissors from the bedside table.
Under everyone’s gaze, he forcefully plunged them into Faye’s
heart.
Faye was too busy pleading her case to her parents to notice Alec’s actions. Alec applied force to his hand, driving the entire scissors
blade in.
In an instant, the hospital room erupted with screams, shrieks, and cries for help.
Alec watched as Faye collapsed onto the bed, blood staining the sheets crimson.
He stumbled backward until he hit the wall, slowly sliding down to
the floor.
“Melody, I’ve given you back your heart.”
“Please come back. I’m begging you. Without you, I can’t go on living.”
But the only response he received was the frantic screaming in the , room, nothing more.
Doctors from other departments rushed in quickly, and upon
