Chapter 105
“Do you want me to beat you up?” Kylie rolled up her sleeves.
She placed her bag to the side. She was exuding an aura of being ready for a fight.
Craig was initially surprised, then accused. “Kylie, you’ve changed. You’re no longer the kind and pure Kylie you once were.”
“Being nice doesn’t work on you,” Kylie said, stretching her wrists and ankles.
Then, as soon as she finished speaking, she raised her foot and kicked.
Craig couldn’t have imagined that Kylie would make a move again.
Craig was left in a really awkward situation after that kick. He almost ended up sitting on the ground in embarrassment. Holding his stomach, he looked at Kylie as if he were heartbroken. “You really changed.”
After delivering the kick, Kylie was already walking away. She didn’t even glance at Craig.
To Craig. Kylie seemed heartless and distant.
Craig’s eyes turned even redder. He wasn’t going to let it end like this.
Ten minutes later, Kylie was driving on the road.
What just happened didn’t affect her at all, but she was still a bit surprised by Craig’s shamelessness. She was so blind to falling for him back then.
Seeing Craig in such a sorry state earlier, Kylie knew that he must have been struggling lately, especially with Jasmine needing surgery and the money he was lacking. He probably tried all sorts of ways to gather it.
Craig would definitely have to face the consequences of his actions.
After returning to Starlit Villa, Kylie made a simple dinner first. After dinner, she went upstairs to handle the business of her Amazon shop.
Before going to sleep, she received a WhatsApp message from Trevor. [I’ve got a friend who wants you to help pick a protective charm. Money isn’t an issue.]
Kylie thought for a moment and texted, [Is it one of the people we met at the club the other day?]
Trevor: It’s Rafael.]
Trevor had just finished work and was standing by the floor–to–ceiling window, gazing at the city–view.
Kylie: [I can help pick a protective charm, but he can’t rely too much on those things. What he really needs is a complete health check–up. I suggest you get the check–up too.]
Trevor’s mouth twitched. I don’t need it.)
Kyle [Don’t be too sure about your resistance.]
Trevor raised an eyebrow, found a digital copy of his health report on his phone, and sent it over.

“Or is she worried I might also catch something?
Does she think I am as much of a flirt as Matthew?
Kylie was a bit surprised at first, wondering why Trevor suddenly sent her a photo..
Then she looked at the image. It was a health report.
She immediately understood what he meant. She thought, “Is this his way of telling me not to worry about him?”
[Grandma wants us to have a pre–pregnancy checkup. Kylie, will you do it?] Trevor asked suddenly.
Seeing the words ‘pre–pregnancy“, Kylie was well aware that she and Trevor couldn’t possibly be having a baby. However, since it was Noreen’s idea, she simply agreed.
She had to make it real. In these three years, she aimed to make Noreen happy every single day.
Trevor looked at her short reply with deep contemplation.
He forgot about the burning cigarette in his hand for a moment
When Noreen suggested he and Kylie get a pre–pregnancy check–up, he had no objection at all. In fact, having a child with Kylie seemed quite alright.
There weren’t many women in this world he could tolerate.
He would go back and discuss with Kylie.
He then extinguished the cigarette.
Rafael called. “Damn it. I was this close. I almost booked up with that actress Matthew dated.
“My friend at the hospital just said that the actress has HIV. Damn it. I don’t know if she gave it to Matthew or if it was the other way around. From now on, before I get involved with any woman, I’m asking them for a health report. I haven’t slept since yesterday.
“Oh, by the way, is Kylie really that impressive? Did she figure all this out? Did you tell her? Ask her to find me a protective charm. Money’s not an issue, as long as it works.”
The rapid pace of his speech showed Rafael’s surprise.
After his initial shock, Rafael realized he was so wrapped up in talking that he didn’t give Trevor a chance to speak.
“If you don’t trust her, you can find someone else for help,” Trevor said calmly.
Rafael wouldn’t dare say he didn’t trust Kylie.
In a situation where Trevor could trust Kylie, not trusting her himself would mean disrespecting Trevor.
Rafael said, “I can’t trust anyone else either.”
Rafael felt much calmer now. “Matthew has been going a bit too far lately. He even had a villa party with a lot of people the other day. Fortunately, I’m not into that stuff. I’ve decided to be more restrained for now.”
It seemed like a lot of families in Jardora were going to experience some upheaval. Even showbiz was going to be in chaos. With so many people getting sick at the same time, the chaos was imaginable.

As Kylie was just entering the Roth Group Tower, her phone, which she was about to put away, started ringing.
“Kylie, I just heard some gossip, Jessie said.
Listening to Jessie’s deliberately hushed gossipy tone, Kylie asked with a smile, “Oh? What kind of gossip?”

“Last night, Henry was on the phone with his friend, and they talked about someone in their circle catching AIDS from messing around with women. Now a lot of people are rushing to get checked–up at the hospital. Even some famous actresses and models are caught up in it. If it weren’t for Henry being so well–behaved, I’d be worried about his health too. But just to be sure, I had him get checked up. He just finished the check–up and went to the office, and I’m here waiting for the results. Jessie said with complete confidence in Henry.
Kylie laughed and said, “Regular check–ups are good.”
She suddenly recalled the two actresses she had seen at the club the other day. They were top stars in the industry, and if they got tangled up in this because of Matthew, it would definitely cause a stir in the entertainment world.
If any paparazzi had a sharp eye and caught this news, Jardora was going to be buzzing with excitement.
I agree. Since we’re trying for a baby, I also went for pre–pregnancy tests,” Jessie said.
Kylie could easily hear the anticipation for the baby in Jessie’s voice.
Hearing the words pre–pregnancy, Kylie thought of what Trevor said yesterday and casually asked, “Are there a lot of tests for that?”
“Not really, just some routine checks. Henry needs to check his sperm’s viability, and I need to check…” Jessie explained the details.
Kylie nodded and said, “Turns out having a baby isn’t that simple
Jessie laughed and said, “Of course. Once we decide to have a baby and become parents, we need to seriously prepare and get our bodies in the best shape to have a healthy baby.”
“I really can’t believe that you are getting ready to be a mom, Kylie marveled at how fast time had passed.
Before they knew it, it had been almost a year since they graduated.
Jessie chuckled, “I can’t even imagine myself as a mom yet. Once the report’s out, I’ll see the doctor, grab some takeout, and then head to Henry’s office to surprise him with a lunchbox.”
