Chapter 43
It must be the tea bag that she gave him yesterday.
Kylie greeted him, about to head upstairs, “Trevor.”
Trevor tumed to her.
Kylie saw Trevor’s cold eyes.
She wondered if he was in a bad mood today.
She thought, ‘Not necessarily. He’s always so cold and aloof.
Trevor asked her, “Can you help me out here?”
Kylie was a bit surprised. “What is it?”
She never expected him to ask her for help.
Seeing that he was slightly frowning, she wondered if something was bothering him.
She walked over to him.
Trevor said. “I’m having a headache. Last time, at the Walters residence, your massage really helped.” He rubbed his temples with his long fingers but it didn’t ease the pain much.
Kylie asked softly, “Does it hurt a lot? Where exactly is it?”
Hearing her gentle voice, Trevor froze for a moment and then pointed at the spot where it hurt.
Kylie said, “Let me give it a try. Massaging can only offer some relief. When you’re free, you might want to see a traditional doctor and try acupuncture treatment.
Kylie walked around the sofa and stood behind Trevor.
At the thought of a long needle going into his head, Trevor instinctively refused. “Acupuncture?”
Kylie said, as she put her hands on his head, “The things passed down from our ancestors can sometimes be more effective than modern medicine. Just relax and close your eyes,”
Trevor closed his eyes.
Today, Kylie was pressing on different spots than last time.
This would effectively relieve Trevor’s headache.
30 minutes later, Kylie looked at Trevor, who was sleeping, and felt like she was in a dilemma.
He was nearly six foot three so she couldn’t possibly carry him into his bedroom. But he always had serious sleeping problems so she didn’t have the heart to wake him up.
Out of the comer of her eye, she noticed some neatly folded blankets near her.
She grabbed a blanket and gently covered Trevor with it.
Then, she quiety tiptoed upstairs.

Chapter 43
After taking a shower, she lay on her bed, just in time to scroll on her phone.
Half an hour ago, Ethan asked if she had arrived home. After she replied to Ethan, she checked today’s trending topics on
social media.
There were not many people talking about the Lampard family
In a couple of days, most people would forget this ever even happened.

She found messages from Julie and Chris on WhatsApp but she didn’t read any of them.
She opened the chat box with Kevin and found a job description that he sent her.
Steve’s team was currently the best team that focused on antique restoration.
She thought about it for a moment, updated her resume, found some before–and–after photos of her restoration work in her album, and emailed them all to Steve’s team.
Then she opened her Amazon shop.
A couple of days ago, she opened a store on Amazon selling antique appraisal services. The price ranged from 40 to 1000 dollars, depending on the item. She accepted orders randomly.
On her way back to Starlit Villa after dropping off Ethan, someone placed an order and sent her several pictures asking if the items were authentic.
She asked the customer to take a few more photos and some videos as per her instructions. Even though appraising antiques through pictures was a bit risky, she found herself more perceptive and sensitive than before.
Nowadays, there were a lot of knock–offs on the market with endlessly updated techniques. But a fake was a fake.
After finishing an order worth 100 dollars, she got out of bed to turn off the light.
She suddenly remembered Kylie was still on the first floor and she probably had forgotten to turn off the light before she went upstairs.
Quietly sneaking downstairs, she found Kylie still sleeping on the couch. The blanket had fallen to the floor.
Sleeping like that could easily cause a cold so she picked up the blanket and gently covered him with it.
Then she straightened her back.
Before she realized what was happening, her arm was grabbed and she was thrown onto the couch.
Kylie cried out in pain, suddenly finding herself face–to–face with Trevor, Trevor’s eyes were wide open. His eyes were deeply dark.
Kylie found that his eyes were like the night sky.
Trevor grasped her arm and it seemed like he wanted to break her arm.
Tears welled up in Kylie’s eyes. She said, “Are you going to repay my kindness with malice?”
Trevor didn’t realize it until now. He said, looking regretful, “Sorry, I didn’t mean it.
It was just a subconscious action.
He thought someone was trying to kidnap him again.

Chapter 43
He dreamed about that dark warehouse.
Kylie rubbed her bruised arm and asked, annoyed, “Did you have a nightmare?”
She thought if he had grabbed her neck just now, it might have been broken
Trevor was too violent just now.
She thought he must have practiced martial arts.
She told herself in her mind that she must keep her distance from him in the future. She didn’t want to die when she was sleeping.
Looking at the bruises on Kylie’s arm, Trevor frowned, “I’ll drive you to the hospital.”
Kylie shook her head. “No need. I’ll just find some ointment.”
It was already midnight so she didn’t want to trouble the doctors.
A bruise like this was nothing to her after all.
Although she grew up in the countryside, her skin was naturally delicate. Whenever she accidentally bumped into something, it would bruise. It looked serious but applying some pintment to it would heal it in a couple of days.
Trevor felt a bit guilty, staring at her bruises.
It was blue, black, and purple.
The bruises were like hickeys left by a man.
He looked up and unexpectedly saw Kylie’s glossy red lips, which made him swallow hard.
He frowned, stood up immediately, and said, “Till get the first aid kit.”
When Trevor came back, he was carrying a large first aid kit in his hand.
Kylie thought, ‘It’s so big. It’s like a treasure chest.
Trevor opened the box. It was filled with all sorts of medicines.
Trevor rummaged through the box and found a tube of ointment with a label.
Kylie reached out to take it.
Trevor said, opening the tube of ointment and squeezing the white cream out onto his fingertip. “It’s apply it yourself. Let me do it for you.”
Kylie didn’t try to argue about it. “Okay”
inconvenient for you to
He might seem cold and aloof, always keeping his distance from people, but he was actually quite thoughtful.
His slightly rough fingertips gently spread the ointment over her skin,
The room was very quiet.
The two of them were very close to each other.
They were both sitting on the sofa

Their breathing was audible, Suddenly, Kylie thought they were bit too close to each other. It was so close that she could feel the air that he breathed out.
Trevor looked at her long lashes, which were gently fluctuating, for a couple of seconds.
Seeing that he squeezed some more ointment, Kylie quickly said. “It’s enough.”
Her skin might be a bit delicate but she was not a crying baby. She knew he didn’t mean it. Besides, he admitted his responsibility immediately. She was not angry anymore,
She thought this much ointment should be enough.
Trevor looked at the conspicuous bruises on her arm and his eyes darkened for a moment. He glanced at his watch. “Did I fall asleep?”
Kylie stood up, feeling a bit dizzy and sleepy. “Yeah, you were asleep for about forty minutes.”
Then she added. Tm going to sleep, Mr. Walters.”
Trevor said. “Wait a minute.”
