“Kylie, you need to explain everything to me, including your relationship with Mr. Zoltan. I’m your dad, and I have to know everything about you, Samuel demanded, his tone filled with dissatisfaction.
Hearing Samuel call himself her “dad” repeatedly, Kylie’s face turned cold, though the pain in her heart was still sharp. He really is a good dad, but Melanie’s good dad, not mine, she thought.
“When I called you ‘Dad‘ before, you didn’t care about me. Now that I no longer recognize you, you suddenly want to know everything about me? Mr. Lampard, don’t be so shameless. Now move!” Kylie replied coldly.
The security guards nearby, sensing the tension, asked, “Ms. Thompson, would you like us to help?”

As she hurried away, a wave of pain washed over her, numbing her limbs. The memories of all she had endured flooded back. How could Samuel have the nerve to call himself he even deserve that title? she thought.

After realizing what had just happened, Samuel and Melanie shouted after Kylie, attempting to cominand her to stay. But Kylie ignored them. As they tried to catch up, she had already gotten into her car, slammed on the gas, and sped off. By the time they reached the roadside, it was far too late to catch her.
“Dad, she… Melanie felt a mix of hatred, anger, and frustration after what had just happened.
Samuel’s expression was equally grim. “I’m heading back to the lice. You should go home,” he said.
“But what about Kylie? Melanie hesitated, her mind full of questions. She desperately wanted to confront Kylie and find out whether it was Kylie who had influenced Trevor’s opinion of her If only she’d reacted a little faster, she could have caught Kylie and gotten the answers she needed.
