This distance gave them both some breathing room.
In the car, neither of them said a word.
Soon, they arrived at the resort
Trevor led Kylie to the resort’s restaurant. After they had dinner, they went to a villa with its own private hot spring pool.
Just after they entered the villa. Noreen’s phone call came through.
She said. “Have you soaked in the hot spring yet? I had clothes sent over for you both. Go soak and relax after a long day— it’ll help you sleep well. Don’t forget to send me a photo”
Trevor had the phone on speaker, so Kylie heard everything clearly.
As soon as he hung up, the doorbell rang
He opened the door and returned with two bags in hand.
One bag was pink, the other blue. It was obvious which one was for Kylie and which was for him.
He handed her the pink bag. “Go ahead and change.”
Kylie took it. “Okay.”
They each went to their own rooms.
