Trevor asked Kylie. “Do you know how to play? If you win, it’s yours; if you lose, it’s on me.”
When she heard him say “If you win, it’s yours; if you lose, it’s on me,” Kylie’s eyes lit up, and she humbly replied, “I can play. but I’m not very good at it.
“No problem,” Trevor said with a subtle gentleness in his voice that he didn’t even notice.
Yakubu raised an eyebrow and gave Kylie another look. He thought. This woman must have some skill–being able to accompany Trevor to meet friends and even getting such tenderness from him. Either she had serious talent or she was incredibly capable in bed.
This thought made his curiosity itch; he wondered what it would feel like to win over a woman who had captured Trevor.
“As long as you know how to play, it doesn’t matter if you’re good or not. Your boss has a lot of money, so feel free to lose! I finally have a chance to win some money from him, can’t let that go,” Rafael said with a chuckle. His eyes were filled with eagerness, just thinking about winning money from Trevor was thrilling.
Once Kylie sat down, she quickly calmed herself. It’s been a while since she played. Usually, she spent a lot of time playing with Grandma Felicia.
When Trevor saw Kylie’s serious look, it felt like a feather softly brushed against his heart. Softening his voice, he said, “Don’t worry about losing.”
Kylie Jeaned over and whispered in his ear, “If I win, is it really mine? Do I really not need to worry? Won’t your friends be upset if they lose?”
They hadn’t even started playing yet, but the girl was already worried. Trevor, in an unusually good mood, kept his voice gentle, “Don’t worry about it.”
At the private club, the aim was to relax and have fun, without the scheming of the business world.
“Okay,” Kylie curled her lips into a smile, her eyes sparkling brilliantly. Trevor was momentarily mesmerized by her appearance.
The way the two were whispering to each other and getting cozy caught everyone off guard. They all thought, This wasn’t Just a simple assistant relationship, right? While the poker game was lively, the staff brought over a birthday cake. With birthday cakes, it’s all about the atmosphere, and honestly, no one really cared that much.
An hour later.
As Trevor looked at the thick stack of cash in front of him, he suddenly realized that Kylie probably thought he wouldn’t keep his word and that her win wouldn’t count. With how experienced she was, she could probably outplay anyone, even Rafael who thought he was a pro at the game.
Yakubu and Balin initially underestimated Kylie, thinking she was just another fragile girl without much intelligence. They only humored her because Trevor was present

Trevor shot Rafael a glance. Without saying a word, it clearly warned him to watch his language. Rafael’s lips twitched.
“Mr. Walters, I’m feeling a bit tired, Kylie pretended to look weary. In truth, she wasn’t tired at all, it was just that the stakes were too high. If they were only betting one to three dollars, she could have played until dawn.

Kyle tilted her head toward the person asking her, Ella Taylor. She’s the lead actress in a popular TV series and is very famous right now, Kylie really enjoyed watching Ella’s shows; her acting was very natural.
