Chapter 84
“I’m wondering if they are the same person,” Ken pondered.
Ken was reluctant to witness his only one nephew deceived by girls before reaching twenty.
There seemed to be a lot of girls eager to pursue multiple options now.
Kevin was still too young to realize that
Trevor’s gaze remained calm. “They should be the same person. Your nephew is young, right? Is he an adult yet?”
“He’s almost nineteen, but kids mature early these days. In high school, a multitude of girls were already vying for his attention. Kylie is about five years older than him, right? He said it’s trendy now to go for an older woman, and he’s willing to be a toyboy. Can you tell me what exactly is your relationship with Kylie? Ken inquired.
Trevor’s demeanor remained stoic. “Tell your nephew to keep away from her.”
Ken raised an eyebrow. “Are you just bedmates, or is there more to it…?”
“We’re married. Trevor replied casually.
But to everyone else, this was nothing short of a bombshell–an absolute shock.
“When did you get married? I was completely in the dark! Even Rafael and the others seem clueless. They thought you Kylie shared an ambiguous connection. She is actually your wife Ken’s usual composure vanished, leaving him momentarily dazed.
He was stunned by this revelation.
“It’s a secret marriage. Don’t let Rafael and the others find out
and
Ken nodded, still a bit shaken. “Alright, if that blabbermouth finds out, the entire city will be informed. This is my nephew’s first crush, and unexpectedly, he has fallen for your wife,
Trevor’s lips curled into a slight smile. “He has taste, at least.”
“My dad mentioned your wife is amazing. She surpasses most in his team at such a young age.” Ken quickly adapted to referring to Kylie as “your wife“.
The phrase felt foreign to Trevor
A hint of warmth sokened his typically stern expression. “She’s quite good at that.”
It was rare to hear Trevor compliment anyone, especially a woman. “You really love Kylie, don’t you?” asked Ken.
If Trevor didn’t love her, he wouldn’t have gotten married.
Everyone knew Sophia had feelings for Trevor.
Now that he was secretly married, she would react strongly when she learned the truth.
“Love? My marriage does not hinge on love. We got married because my grandma liked her. Trevor immediately dropped his softer demeanor, speaking in a firm voice.
He married Kylie solely to reassure his grandma, with no romane involved
Ken pondered, Trevor’s secret marriage was arranged by his grandmother, but does he really have no feelings for Kylie?”

Chapter 84
Though Ken had nevermet Kylie, descriptions from Rafael and others indicated she fit Trevor’s aesthetic perfectly.
In a cafe. Sophia had gathered some information from Melanie
According to Melanie, Kylie was selfish and would sacrifice her dignity for money.
It now appeared she was being supported as a mistress.
Melanie didn’t know who was supporting Kylie.
But Sophia did know. The thought of Kylie being supported by Trevor, with her future seemingly arranged, stirred an unsettling turmoil within Sophia
“Sophia. how do you know Kylie? Do you happen to know the person supporting her? Melanie asked, her curiosity evident, suddenly realizing she hadn’t probed deeply enough
The whole family wanted to know who was supporting Kylie.
However, they had found no leads after several days of searching.
Sophia offered a faint smile. “I’ve only encountered Ms. Thompson by chance and don’t know much about her.”
Regardless of her disdain for Kylie, Sophia understood one thing. Since Trevor hadn’t publicly acknowledged Kylie’s status. any relationship they might have remained secret and shouldn’t be discussed openly.
If Trevor found out that Sophia had gossiped, Sophia wouldn’t be able to explain herself.
“Just remembered I have something to take care of, so I’ll be off, Ms. Lampard, Sophia said.
Melanie was stunned. “So where did you happen to meet Ms. Thompson? Did she reach out to you on purpose?”
Melanie thought, ‘I answered every question Sophia asked, except for those about Kylie’s true background. I even revealed that Kylie had a boyfriend, so why did Sophia refuse to respond when I asked a simple question? Does Sophia know who is supporting Kylie? Otherwise, why would she be so curious and ask me so many questions about her?”
Sophia’s expression turned a bit cold, giving off a clear sense of distance. I’m sorry. I can’t recall where I met her. I enjoyed our conversation today. Let’s meet again sometime.”
民
“Wait, let’s add each other on WhatsApp.” Melanie quickly retrieved her phone, hoping to add a new friend.
Sophia acted disinggerested. “Maybe next time, goodbye.”
Even though Melanie wasn’t the sharpest, she realized that Sophia had no intention of meeting her again, much less adding
her as a friend.
A wave of embarrassment washed over Melanie. “How exactly does Sophia know Kylie?”
Melanie recalled that it was Sophia who primarily added Kylie’s WhatsApp, and at the time, Kylie hadn’t seemed particularly
cager to connect.
Now, Melanie had made the initiative to add, yet Sophia had turned her down.
Reflecting on how everyone treated Kylie differently made Melanie feel a deep discomfort as she gritted her teeth.
But then she thought it didn’t matter.
Her parents and brothers regarded her as the most important. In their eyes, Kylie held no significance whatsoever.

Kevin lay in a hospital bed, boredom consuming him as he played on his phone.
He had recently undergone leg surgery and would be discharged the following day, but for the next three months, he would be unable to move much–let alone ride a motorcycle or engage in extreme sports.
He glanced at the clock. Kylie would be off work in an hour.
Bored, he realized he missed Kylie more than ever.
Kevin was in the middle of a game when a call suddenly came in. “Ken?”
“Kevin, I heard from your grandpa that you have a crush on a girl working for him. Is that true?” Ken asked.
Kevin rolled his eyes. “Why does Grandpa share everything with you? Ken, if you want to meddle in other people’s lives, go have a few kids of your own. Don’t interfere with my life. Grandpa is on board with this and the girl I like is really well–liked by everyone.
“It’s not going to work. Don’t set your heart on her. Find another girl to pursue.”
“Why? Did Grandpa mention she’s older than me? So what if she is a few years older than me? I look more mature than she does. Just mind your own business, Ken. It’s all about free love now, you know? I have no interest in an arranged marriage.” Kevin completely tuned him out.
