Chapter 93
Sophia was in a panic; she never expected Kylie would call Trevor during their conversation.
She felt both regretful and resentful for showing her manipulation and embarrassment to Trevor.
Trevor,” Sophia explained frantically, I just thought she definitely had a hidden motive to approach you, so I acted on n own to try and drive her away. The threats I made were just my thoughtless words.”
She hoped to be cheerful and innocent in front of Trevor.
She didn’t want him to know she had threatened Kylie.
Trevor’s voice care through the phone and his voice still carried a naturally cold tone.
He said, “Do you want to boss my girl?” It was such a simple question yet shocked Sophia.
In Jardora, except his family, nobody dared to boss Trevor. Even his usual friends wouldn’t dare to step in.
Kylie was even more shocked. She thought, When did I become his girl?”
However, at the thought that this should only be said to Sophia, she didn’t dwell on it.
Sophia forced herself to calm down. “I’m sorry, I did it wrong. I didn’t think it through.”

Kylie rarely saw this side of Trevor. Even just hearing him speak, she could feel his coldness.
Sophia’s face was already pale.

“Mr. Walters, please listen to me. I acted on my own. My parents and even Rafael know nothing about it. You might not know Kylie well, but her past is really complex. That’s why I was in such a hurry to find her. I can come to Walters Group to explain everything to you in person.” Sophia clutched her bag tightly.
She couldn’t risk dragging her family down with her.
To her surprise, Trevor was going to take actions against her family for Kylie.
She wanted to be with Trevor, not only for her own sake but also because her parents and grandfather hoped for it.
But Trevor stopped listening to Sophia. He suddenly softened his tone, calling out, “Kylie.”
Upon his calling, Sophia’s face turned even more pale.
“I’ll handle this. You don’t need to worry about it, he reassured her.
Kylic nodded. “Alright, I understand. Sorry for bothering you today.”
“If something like this happens again, don’t make a call. Just tell me immediately.” Trevor added worriedly.
He knew that for people like them, achieving their goals justified any means. Rules were meaningless to them. So, he thought Kylie might have been scared today.

A cold gleam flashed through his eyes at the thought.

softly saying “okay,” Kylie ended the call. She then put her phone in her purse and stood up to leave the restaurant.
Seeing her about to leave, Sophia quickly grabbed her wrist. Jealousy and panic were apparent in her eyes, with a hint of resentment, but her words were gentle. “Explain to Mr. Walters. Tell him it was just a misunderstanding, or come with me and explain it directly to him.”
Kylie jerked her hand away and said: “Are you kidding me?”
She thought, ‘Shopia just threatened me, and tried to mess with my family and me, but now she wants my help. Is her brain ok? There must be something wrong with her brain. How can she be that self–righteous?”

“Please. I’m begging you. Name your price! If 300 thousand dollars isn’t enough, then 600 thousand dollars, or 1.5 million dollars. I can give you 1.5 million dollars! Just make sure Mr. Walters doesn’t misunderstand me, and I’ll give you right away. Sophia said, gritting her teeth.
She had a feeling that Trevor was not just saying when he mentioned her family.
She couldn’t let her rash actions implicate her family.
“Sorry.” Kylie said as she walked straight out
She thought. I would not accept even 3 million dollars, let alone 1.5 million. Sophia had threaten me, and I think of ways to make her return the money. People like her are not trustworthy and not worth my time.
Sophia bit her lip hard, her hand trembling slightly as she dialed Rafael’s number. “Rafael, 1 made a mistake.” Then she briefly described what had happened to him.

Rafael stayed silent for a few minutes. “You’re too bold. I met Ken a couple of days ago. When talking about Kylie, he said Trevor really cared about her and asked us not to look down on her. If she matters to Trevor, who else would dare to mess with her? Sophia, you are in trouble now.”
Sophia gripped her phone tightly, feeling more panicked than ever. “Help me to meet Trevor.”
“No, I can’t help you. If I help you again, I’ll lose my place as his friend in his eyes. You can only solve this by yourself. Here’s a tip: Instead of asking for my help, try talking things out with Kylie.” Rafael refused without a second thought.
None of them were fools.
They knew perfectly well what would happen if they acted foolishly, so they wouldn’t let themselves make the same mistake again.
Rafael was a profit–driven businessman who understood the situation very well.
Sophia ended the call, sitting alone in the café, feeling utterly last.
After leaving the restaurant, Kylie drove to the supermarket.
She was planning to cook a big meal tonight and had already prepared the menu that morning.
She even specifically asked Noreen what Trevor liked to eat the most.
Noreen told Kylie not to overindulge Trevor, and if Kylie wanted something to eat, she could just tell the staff at the Walters residence. Kylie’s hands weren’t meant for daily cooking.

Kylie chatted with Noreen on the phone for half an hour.
In the end, she found out Trevor’s favorite dish.
With the groceries bought, she’d head back. Everything should be ready by tonight.
As she was leaving the supermarket, she bumped into Matthew and a girl.
The girl looked like an inexperienced college student form her outfit.
“Kylie?” Matthew was a bit surprised.
Kylie smiled and greeted him. “Hi! Mr. Nelson.”
“Why are you shopping alone? You bought so much. Need some help? Matthew’s eyes lit up as he looked at Kylie. Ever since the time at the club, he couldn’t get her out of his mind. Now that he ran into her alone, he felt he had to seize the opportunity.
