Chapter 22
After years of suffering from Insomnia, Andrew had grown used to it. But after Melina’s appearance, he managed to sleep soundly twice.
Now that he had to go back to living with his insomnia, Andrew was in a terrible mood. He couldn’t allow an exception like this in his life. It made him too passive.
Money was useless, and since Wallace was involved, he couldn’t threaten Melina either. In that case, was he supposed to use love?
For some reason, even though things had come to this point, Andrew still didn’t want to use those dirty tactics against Melina. Perhaps it was because Melina’s gaze was too pure. It was like a mirror that reflected the purity in her heart.
Andrew called Toby. Toby started giving Andrew ideas like the cunning fox he was. The more Andrew listened to him, the deeper he frowned.
Toby laughed and said over the phone, “Andrew, if you follow my instructions, making a girl fall for you will be a piece of cake.”
Melina returned to the apartment she rented. After unpacking her luggage, she started cleaning up the apartment. Her roommate was a woman in her 30s who worked nearby.
The apartment was very old. She had to sleep in the living room, and using the common bathroom was extremely inconvenient, but Melina was still happy.
Since she was living in an apartment she rented, she could live in peace. Although it was inconvenient, it wasn’t as inconvenient as life in the mountains.
The first day after leaving Andrew, Melina ate one more serving of food. Just as she was thinking if she should eat another serving, someone knocked on the door.
She was new to Cyntia and didn’t have friends or relatives there. Wallace didn’t know she was staying here either, so she assumed her roommate had returned.
Melina placed her plate down and opened the door. After opening the door, Melina immediately tried to
shut it.
At the entrance, Andrew’s face darkened. He held the door open with one hand. Did Melina hate him that much?
In the past, Andrew had always been the person to chase others away. This was the first time someone shut the door in his face instead.
Seeing that Andrew was holding the door open, Melina gave up. If she used more strength, Andrew’s hand would be caught in the door. She didn’t want to hurt anyone.
Melina
snapped angrily, “Why are you here? Didn’t I say that we shouldn’t meet again? Don’t look for me if it doesn’t concern Mr. Wentworth Senior.”
Andrew looked into the apartment and scoffed, “What is this place? Are you sure it’s habitable?”
“It’s none of your business. This place is great.”
“Come back to Oakread with me.”
Melina refused without hesitation, “No. Did you forget that you were the one who made me move out

“Yet now you’re asking me to go back? Do you enjoy toying with me like this or something?
Andrew rarely had people criticize him to his face. Anger slowly filled his gaze. Suddenly, he remembered Toby’s instructions and the reason he came here today
He pushed his anger aside and said as gently as possible, “I’m sorry for last time.”
Melina was shocked. She had never expected a tyrannical weirdo like Andrew would apologize.
She looked up at Andrew. Her doe eyes were clear and lively.
Andrew’s breath hitched when he met her gaze.
